John Collins really knows how to talk to the media. One of the most honest interviews I’ve heard, didn’t give generic robotic answers, while also sounding genuine and respectful.
He’s earning his money rn too. Hawks need to keep that duo together

Someone needs to go back and look at the first half when Giannis received a lob or down low pass that was dunked on or near John Collins. After that play, Trae pushed up the court with JC at his side, trying to set up a lob of their own. Trey ended up making a layup, I think, but when they both ran back to play defense again, you could see Trae and Collins give each other a lowdown high five as if to say to each other "I got you, brother, they come at you hard and we're going to answer right back by running into the fire together." Because back in Shaq's era you don't need to have high basketball IQ as a center, you just need to follow your ball facilitator on the pick and roll on offence and stay in the paint for rim protection on defence. Your athleticism and size determines your greatness as a center back then. That's why everyone remembers Shaq and Wilt so well.
