I miss the old deck techs, those felt infinitely more helpful than these. These feel like you’re just throwing cards in my face
I want to agree, but I also thought the old ones did that too. These at least seem more slowed down.

tbf, kriik is known for either just wincon asap or goodstuff since it drastically cheapens the man curve
Old one was almost always wrong.
Sometimes its just better to show some interesting deck-techs, and fun cards which you could include, than to “evaluate” card power on a casual level.
Bolas's Citadel, senseis top, and aetherflux reservoir is one of my go to combos. Blood celebrant is great for paying life to generate mana and get your life total low enough to suprise the table with Repay in Kind and Profane Transfusion. Leshracs sigil is used in cedh

I’d get Aetherflux, but I had a spare Sheoldred The Apocalypse, with all the card draw in it he builds your health like crazy lol.
@@r3cronus561 I started using sheoldred with vilis and krrick to essentially draw my entire deck and gain all the life in the world. It's nuts
@@righteousraikou3973 exactly what I do, it combos so hard lol. Necrotic Ooze stealing Asmodeus & Skirge familiar is always a crazy infinite draw combo with Kozulik BOT to reset graveyard. Tutor buried alive and repeat.
K'rrik + Necrotic Ooze + Sheoldred The Apocalypse with Asmodeus The Archfiend in your graveyard = Pay 6 life: Draw 7 cards and gain 14 life.
Extort is huge in this deck, especially if you have 3 opponents. Pay 2 life, gain 3. Very clean. More Extort lets you keep doing that. A bit of extra life gain goes a long way, too.
Yes, but I feel them main strength of k'rrik lies in his ability to accelerate combos, cast k'rrik turn 3 and combo turn 4, most combo require 5 uncolored mana. Most notably necrotic ooze with buried alive. Some are more expensive like sensei, aether flux and bolas citadel, in this case extort is amazing because you can keep padding your life total for free while getting to the combo
Buried alive and a reanimate spell. Send chainer, gray merchant and dimir house guard or any sac outlet for that matter. Carrion feeder, viscera seer etc. Reanimate chainer. Pay 9 life for chainer effect to reanimate gray merchant. Then chainer the sac outlet. Sac the gray. Reanimate grey. Repeat
I also recommend Tendrils of Agony. It’s surprisingly a good finisher and hard to counter because storm

I've played a ton of K'rrik and the best build I've run uses a shadowborn package. He's bonkers and definitely a very solid cEDH commander if you're interested in getting into that level of EDH play.
I also run K’rrik Shadowborn. It most definitely is a cEDH deck when built right. I have had a few turn 1 wins. Usually win at turn 4.

Buried Alive and Necrotic Ooze are an absolute must
Let’s run through this as fast as possible so I have to watch it multiple times and you still do provide in-site.
Bolas's Citadel and necropotence are nuts together, peer into the abyss, and a sack outlet+chainer and Gary is game if you control kri'kk. Deck can go really fast but also can play 12-14 kill spells that are free if you control your commander (blue eat your heart out) so while the list can look turbo.deck but if you play it as such it can turn on a dime to a midrange control if you get put under stax or get stopped early and need to go defensive, it also makes stopping things way easier when you can go for broke on your turn and still have ways to do things in mono black.
Last time I saw this deck in a cedh pod, we all focused him down to like 2 hp. We knew that if we didn't get that life total down low enough, he'd storm off our of nowhere
you could play:
1. Peer into the Abyss into Skirge familiar into Exsanguinate.
2. If you walt you could play an old card Leshrac Sigil and with Aetherflux if you can 8 storm counters you can kill everyone with Aetherflux
Font of Agonies, bunch of tutors and sorin markov as well as sorins vengeance. Invoke despair also covers a ton of value everywhere

I play him in cedh and he is insanely fast if built right, winning turn 1 or 2 if things line up, and the phyrexian cost reductions don't make that too difficult to happen. It's high risk high reward and very rewarding when you learn the lines
I run this deck religiously. Sudden spoiling is an all star in K’rrik. Same thing with Professor’s warning. Reiver Demon, Cloud Kill, Invoke Despair, Flay Essence, oubliette, vraska’s contempt, are all really good remove choices. And an amazing piece of card draw is Stinging Study. And cards like vampire nighthawk, gifted aetherborn.
Shadowborn turbo is insane with krrik

Necrotic ooze combo and a ton of black cantrips as well as Bolas's Citadel and Sensei's diving Top. Basically running this deck as a Turbo Naus combo deck is the best option for it.
Instant speed reanimator spells like corpse dance and shallow grave can help beef up gray merchant lines among interaction. Also, fleshwrither has some great near-death win lines with razaketh

The new Gollum is an alternate commander and wincon for my current deck. I find Gollum kills the table faster and is much more oppressive while K’rrik is much more fun to play against.
Turn 1-2 K'rrik, Turn 2-3 buried alive (asmodeous, necrotic ooze, skirge familiar) then animate necrotic ooze for the win.
Necrotic ooze in play, azmodious the archfiend, dimir house guard, and chainer and grey merchant in the yard equals infinite castings. Also use aetherflux resoivior and leshrac sigil
Although very situational, being able to counter any green spell for 4 life with death grip is something else!
Painter's Servant makes all spells green.
My deck's goal is to get a few dorks with menace or weak flyers (for evasion) on the board, get my life total down to about 1 or 2, and then cast Repay in Kind just before attacking.

Bola's is great but I the moment I have Krrik and 4 mana up n running, i always search for Abyss. By the time I have abyss fire off, i already have all the cards i need to do serious damage. With that being said, my Deck's focus is force opponent lose life points and sacrifice their permenants. So i run Dictate of Erebros, Grave Pact and No mercy. With those cards in place I also run Tergrid and lilianas.
Another words, steal all of your opponents creatures everytime creatures you control dies. Its great lol.
My version went hard on the suicide black. The main wincon is bolas Citadel, Gray merchant, and Vito.
I also slowly drain with cards like bontus monument and Ayari first of loththwain.
Extort is the best mechanic for your deck. You pay 2 life and gain 3. It's just free.
Blood pet is awsome too

I just made a krrick deck and bolas’s citadel has been great.
More top performers dream devourer, magus of the mirror, witch of the moors, Vito, thorn of the dusk rose, pontiff of blight, crypt ghast (extort creatures)
Font of agonies! Sorin markov, whip of erebos
Soul conduit and the black mythic sorcery from original commander legends work really well for taking your life total really low with krrik and then swapping with some one who's still close to full
add ashnods altar so you can just sacrifice your own creatures before you board wipe, giving you the ability to recover instantly combined with krriks ability. run blood celebrant so that you can instant block if you need to stop a big swing or snipe an unsuspecting attacker by using his ability for +1's or for card draw with dmg
I’d love to see a Chainer, Nightmare Adept deck tech. He’s always seemed like an interesting commander and I never hear anyone talk about him.
I made a chainer deck and it feels pretty limited because of the number of madness cards. You can get good combos going but it’s pretty casual
Krrik and Necrotic Ooze, Asmodeus on the yard, then look for skirge familiar, to draw your entire deck by discarding cards you dont need to win.
I have a doomsday list around him and it's my favorite deck!
Dooms day and peer into the abyss are basically auto wins
The best card would have to be font of agonies. Whatever life you would pay put that much blood counters on font of agonies then remove 4 counters pay 2 life and kill any creature rinse and repeat for board wipes.
This looks like a very chill Son of Yawgmoth decktech. I only know him as a cEDH turn 1 combo dude. And that gets boring over time.
Just slap all the cool black cards you like into the deck and have fun!
Shard of the Night Bringer and profane transfusion
Run asmodeus the archfiend and necrotic ooze because if you have necrotic ooze and asmodeus in graveyard then you can pay six life to draw seven cards
Razakeths rite, diabolic tutor and all the other “bad” tutors are good bc they become 2-3 mana tutors which is cEDH territory on a budget!
Bolas' Citadel, Exsanguinate, ashnod's altar, crypt ghast, and Liliana of the Dark Realms are all good
Infernal Darkness is a sleeper powerhouse, cumulative upkeep 3 life is very broken and definitely can distrub your opponents.
Honestly vilis is much more of a reliable commander yes hes alot of mana however black has some of the best ramp in the game i mever have a problem getting him out relatively early. I much prefer Vilis over krrik. If i have vilis out for a turn i usually win.

I went a different route
I genuinely feel like K'rrik is the strongest commander in the game. I don't think there's anyone who can pull off as many turn one wins.
Use Pact Weapon and Repay in Kind to screw everyone over in this deck. Also Pestilence is good if your life total is high enough

So I love operating this deck but... BE WARNED... it's an awful deck to play against because your turns last several minutes due to all the maths and thinking it takes to make your turns the most optimal. It's even worse if your deck can't close out the game. Don't invest in this deck if you're not prepared for your play group to get annoyed.
Or just make it more competitive so you can close out the game quicker.
