In this video, I unboxed the 2023 Lenovo Slim Pro 7! This model comes with the Ryzen 7 7735HS and RTX 3050.
This laptop is a slightly "lower" processor coming out compared to the others on the processor skew by Ryzen, BUT I am anticipating that this laptop may perform on par with the G14 model from 2023! Of course, we will find out more about this in the full review. However, in this unboxing, I cover more of the Slim Pro 7's generic qualities such as the build quality, weight & thickness, and the keyboard & trackpad.
Check out this video to find out more!

Slim Pro 9i interest me mire in 14.5". Can't get them though. As a Surface Book user finding a equivalent built laptop now is nearly impossible
When will the full review be out?
I have this laptop and, for some reason, I can't get the RTX 3050 to work. I plugged it to a monitor and it still uses the AMD gpu. Does anybody know how to solve this?
Would you recommend this over yoga 9i 1360P?
Wich one i should buy slim 7 pro or slim 7 pro x ?
wow the webcam and mic are impressive
The only actual improvement from last year is 6gb VRAM instead of 4gb. Real disappointment if they do not go ahead and launch the 7840HS + 4050 that they were planning for this model. I’m hoping for August…
Should make a video on the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404). On the verge of buying it, really curious on the real life performances while video editing
this
Hi there. Just fyi, there is also a 4050 version of this laptop (the 3050 is the 'mid' tier of this year's model, as far as I know). Btw, is yours the touch version? If it is, for the full review, may I request for a pen test on the screen? I'm looking to get this laptop (the 4050 version), but can't find any information on whether the screen has Lenovo Pen support. Any information about it will be appreciated. Thanks =)
PS That's a lovely note on the wall!
for video editing, is 32 go ram more important than a strong gpu or the reverse ? and what about the cpu ?
Can this laptop get charged with a 67 w usb c phone charger ?
When is the full review plz
Tap test is a useless thing to do
7735hs is a rebrand of 6800h. So it's basically last year chip with a bit increased clock speed.
7735HS is Zen 3+ HS CPU which is a rebrand of 6800HS, just fyi
@@pranavdupati9164 I missed the S. So what?
@@chiaza7735 6800hs!=6800h
It makes a noticable difference mister
Full review when pleaseeeeee
What is the Lenovo Yoga 9i Pro called in US market?
Replace the word yoga with slim
The Ryzen 7735HS is just a rebranded Ryzen 6800HS with a very, very minor speed bump. This laptop with the same RTX 3050 should perform almost the same as last years model. The advantage of this model is that it now has USBC 4.0 and an HDMI port which were missing on the precious one. However the newer 7840HS version should be faster if it has a dedicated GPU. The versions available in the UK only have integrated graphics so far. That could be due to it being a new model and the dGPU version will come out later. Or it could be due to the iGPU (780m) performing not too far off an RTX 3050. But it obviously lacks CUDA which is useful for some applications.
Maybe I can give you an an answer Ben, the rtx 4000 series are mean for Lenovo yoga pro 9i…..I don’t know but somehow that’s how Lenovo sell their product, the same things happen with their other lineup like legion etc
Yes, that's what I've found talking with Lenovo.
Now there’s a 4050 6GB / i7-13700H / 120HZ 3K version available, fairly priced, but I really wonder how that affects the battery life. It’s the main thing holding me back.
this must be the more expensive Slim Pro 9i
@@jakewhite9691no its only in the eu for 1100€
@@jakewhite9691that is the slim pro 7i. Slim pro 9i comes with i7 13705h or i9 13905h
No it's not,.maybe last year g14. Zenbook pro 14 oled ux6404, yoga pro 9i is the only 2 that actually seems better than g14 this year. U should reviews and compare them
Found this laptop, the 3050 version, 3k screen, 120hz display, Ryzen 7 7735hs for 1200 usd in Australia. In my opinion, absolute bargain
Hi, I’m looking at the same laptop as you have . I am unsure about the battery life so can you please tell me about it now also how is the gaming performance like?
Please could you tell me how long does the battery last with that display and gpu configuration?
@@jeffersonmp4 well, video playback tests show about more than 11 hours, but with general use, over 10 hours can be easily achieved
@@januthcs4286 tysm I wanted to know about the battery life too. Also, is there any new update on the laptop that's worth mentioning?
@@mrperfectcell1350 well, after a bit of use, above 8 hours of battery life can get tricky, but in terms of performance, it's been amazing
I've had this laptop for 6 months now and I must mention this. The side power button is terrible. I accidentally hit it so many times turning it off. Super annoying. Also the battery life is terrible which is one of the most important considerations for a laptop
How is the temperature sir??
Not a G14 killer. Lenovo has Zen 3+ CPU compared to Zen 4, 3050 GPU compared to 4000 series (4050 up to 4090), non-upgradeable ram, 90hz screen vs 165hz, less I/O ports, one handed opening you even demonstrated it was stiff, bluetooth 5.1 vs bluetooth 5.3, 350 nits vs 500 nits. Even the cooling looks worse, since this looks like it uses pipes but they put a black sheet over it to make it look like a vapour chamber 😂. This is more on par with my 2021 G14 that has a 3050 Ti and still has a 120hz screen. Only real benefit from this laptop is the touchscreen and thinner chassis.
and much better quality control.
The g14 is better, but this is more of a balanced device. Also, the refresh rate is available at 120hz in the 3050 with a 3k resolution screen. The 40 series laptops of the slim pro 7 is available as we speak, and if we take the device as a whole the pro 8 is better, but solely for gaming, zephyrus
G14 lasts 5-6 hours max with everything on low and gpu disabled while the Lenovo lasts 9-11 hours. 90hz is fine on a laptop running a 165hz on high rez will just eat up battery. The lenovo laptop is a much more sensible option G14 is for people who use their laptop plugged in 24/7
@@silv9294 I'm not sure about that. My G14 lasts 9-10 hours on battery with GPU disabled on 60hz, screen brightness at 60%
Nothing but a clickbait...
