  • California schools chief Tony Thurmond booted from Chino Valley school board meeting. Thurmond was there to address the Chino Valley Unified School District board before its vote on the parental notification policy, an issue that drew more than 300 people to Don Lugo High School. Parents and community members brought flags, T-shirts, and signs to wave during the meeting to show support for their side of the issue.

    Never realized till recently
    the many areas where parents
    willingly but unknowingly are separating
    their children from themselves.
It’s like it’s sneaked up on parents.
Leaving their children in the hands
of others to teach their children
out of sight of the parents’
    watchful eyes. Until recently
it’s been quite safe when values
were comparable. Values over the last
    40-50 years have changed dramatically.
Colleges have played a major role
    in value alteration.

There was 82 speakers and the time was already sliced down to one minute each, so NO MR. Thurman, you get one minute just like everyone else. "The policy would infringe on the privacy rights of students"
Unfortunately, children do not have the same rights as adults. This is because children cannot be entrusted with the responsibility of their own care at such a young age and may partake in activities that could be harmful to their development in the long term. Therefore their rights must be limited in reflection of that, for their own good.

Yes, it was once common knowledge that children were too immature to make such long-term life altering choices for themselves. (I.e. cigarettes, alcohol, contracts, the military). Now, the groomers think they should be able to choose gender assignment surgery and chemical castration at 3yrs and up). They should file child abuse charges against parents doing this to their children and chemically castrate them.

The case was not closed. Two different courts said it was illegal what the school was doing. The second ruling was 4 days ago. Anything against the rules is just kept secret. Kids drink and smoke weed in high school. If being trans is a secret it’s still happening, it’s just a secret from you. Case closed. None of those students will tell their counselor and be outed. They just won’t tell any school employees. I mean they live in California so for all I know they may run down to the health department and get their hormones their paid for by your taxes. But californias crazy politics doesn’t make what this school is doing right. If they try to take my phone away I was like you’re a school not law enforcement. Wait! The school will phone the family to report on a child’s perceived gender identity? How does this help or protect the school’s community? Do administrators *really* believe the family is oblivious to their child’s gender identity🤨? How will administrators be trained to “identify “ and label the child? This sounds more like administrative tracking and documenting (hunting). Will phone reports be created and placed n the student’s file? Who will have access to the phone report records? What if a child is incorrectly labeled? Can other students report a student and have them labeled?

Please. Definition of ignorance shows the school board. Talk about Gaslighters, characterizing the top school official's actions as perverse. What kind of arrogance is it that they only "allow" ONE MINUTE to speak on such important issues?! And when he didn't shut up when they politely asked him to, they politely kicked his a** out of "their" meeting. School boards don't own education and its processes. It follows that they also don't have "rights" to allow and disallow certain practices. That includes interjecting themselves to the parent/child conversations surrounding gender and identity. The point has been made...School boards and educators are NOT facilitating healthy conversations, nor do they have any standing to even state their "position" and opinions about parenting, education of children guised as protecting them or doing anyone a service or favor

    • @cathylivingston368
      @cathylivingston368 Před 10 měsíci +1

Do they actually believe a mother doesn't already know this about their own child? It's simply putting parents on notice that school officials "know" now what's up. Did anyone ask the board how educators are going to respond?...to the question of a young child's desire to identify as cross gender or use a different name or pronoun?

I'm for privacy rights for students. I support Tony Thurmond on this. Why is it the school will report to parents transgender topic but a teenager can go get on the pill or get condoms at a clinic with 100% privacy? What if it's a temporary phase the child is going through? If the child hasn't told the parents maybe it's for a reason. The school districts need to stick with approving curriculum, the teachers need to teach it but butt out of the families private lives unless a child reports abuse.

There is a child in that district who identifies as a cat and has a litter box to use as a restroom. Do you think his/her parent should be notified? If you were that child’s parent, would you want to know what’s happening? It’s basic parental responsibility to get that kid to a psychiatrist pronto, just as it should be to get a tr*ns kid to a psychiatrist pronto, no matter what the culture is saying. It’s not the culture who will lose their child to su*cide, not the culture who will have to deal with the ramifications of that child’s bodily mutilation. It’s the PARENTS and THEY are the ONLY ones who should have a say in what happens to their child. Under 18- it’s none of your business what values those parents choose to instill in their child. It’s not your business where the kid goes to school, if they get their ears pierced, what they have for dinner, and these private s*xual and mental health matters are especially not your business. If you aren’t responsible at the end of the day, you don’t get to stick your nose in. AND if you think it’s okay for the state to decide how your child is raised, you may want to pick up a history book. Less than 100 years ago, German parents didn’t see what was happening to their kids and they ended up having little N*zis sitting at their kitchen table, who not only didn’t share their parents’ values, they turned them in! Be careful what you wish for.
