Cracking update pal, I've always been wary of the tempests with the issues people have had with leaks, fair play for doing it 👍🏼👌🏼
Great filter rubbish valves always had planned on getting a pressure valve on it just happened to be on Father’s Day half hour before going out for a meal 😂👌
I spent 11 hours on father's Day getting my new pond up and running, the things we do for fish 😂
It’s a joke for the cost of them they should have high quality fittings, high quality brackets. I just bought the mark 2, it leaked worse than the old one. I used fernox to seal the joints on the original and it’s holding out for now. Think I’ll give your method a try 👍. Thanks for posting the video.
@@Chequr_Prostate the kockney koi 1 inch ball valves are solid mate working a treat. I’m going to get a little deal together, with the adapter and the valve and a section of pipe from my koi shop so people can order it as a kit form from them to do themself ( still need to do the watering can point for the captin )

Nice little job mate I got rid of both my tempests I had two new models and they leaked then one stopped bubbling completely so I just got rid lol there great filters but I couldn’t be assed with them anymore lol great update pal
I’m hoping that the proper ball valve will stop all the faffing as I do like it just don’t like the amount I’ve had to do to get it to work like it dose.

💯 agree mate the valves and the brackets shouldn’t of made the Final Cut but they did and this is a easy way to stop it leaking shouldn’t have to do it at all
I think a Tempest without a bucket underneath is a rare thing (or empty)

Nice, I’ve had a few of mine spawning this year, wouldn’t usually bother keeping any but the female is a nice gin rin Chagoi and the male is an Ochiba, similar genetics I thought so saved a few, they’re now 4.5 weeks old, around 3cm and look garbage 😂
There’s a few in there that look like they may be okay, gin rin soragoi, Chagoi and then there’s loads of not really sure, early days yet but I’m glad I gave it a go.
On the plus side, if most show gin rin someone will have them, a bit like putting glitter on a turd, it’s still a turd but looks better 😆
