    Our step-by-step guide will show you how to remove and replace your old toilet and wax ring. Follow the steps below to complete this project:
    0:01 Turn off the water
    0:27 Flush the toilet
    0:52 Disconnect the supply line
    1:43 Separate the tank from the bowl
    2:29 Remove the floor bolts at the base
    3:08 Remove the old toilet bowl
    3:53 Check bolts and remove wax ring
    4:44 Inspect the toilet flange
    5:23 Install new wax ring
    6:01 Position the new toilet
    6:28 Tighten the toilet bowl bolts
    7:04 Attach tank to bowl
    7:34 Attach supply line
    7:50 Test toilet for leaks

    If it is caulked, the thinking is that if the toilet flange leaks, you'll end up trapping water between the toilet base and the floor in an area that you can't access. In reality, toilets rarely leak onto the floor. More often, they leak through the floor around the flange. Caulk prevents a fouling area, and should always be done.

    As a millennial, I am so glad videos like these exist. Unless the previous generation teaches us how to do things like these, we'll never get it done.
    Also, instructions unclear, got dick stuck in wax ring.

    Do not use a wax ring. That’s old school, and you only get one shot. Get the fluid master. You can stack them and you do not have to worry about readjusting the toilet. Trust me, I just had to do it.

    They left out leveling the new toilet. Not every bodies tile floors are perfectly level.
