Do the albums come together? How much are they?
I really like how SM are going for a more natural, approachable and genuine image approach for Riize which is something that's definitely much more common nowadays in K-pop as well as a complete 180 from the other SM acts. I can't help but feel that this wouldn't have happened if LSM wasn't removed from the board, since SM openly acknowledged that the company was "falling behind" their rivals under the leadership of LSM. Like, that man was a visionary, but one fault that SM always had was that their artists always had this "manufactured" feel to them unlike many of the popular artists today that just feel more human and genuine and I feel that traces to LSM's systematic formula that he's done pretty much since the founding of SM. Now, with him out of the picture and with new boards and fresh blood in the company, SM seems to be striving to redo the way they do their business and music to get that extra competitive edge that they were starting to fall behind on.
also, with LSM, their artists comeback plans have to get a green light from him too, from the concept, the songs etc. even if the board agreed but he didn't, then it's a NO. and there's also some rumors about him that said he wouldn't give easy green light to some groups that he doesn't want to see them getting too big. it's wild. he's too ambitious to be different, that at some point causing SM to lost general public's interests. I mean, being ambitious is good, but still there's a line between ambitiously good and self-destructive.
The thing is that I definitely feel like LSM wasn't the only problem, you can still very much see the huge cracks in Sm's management. They feel extremely incompetent and outdated.
@@neo.aenergy the new management just FULLY functioning for the last 4~5 months at most if not less. so I'll wait at least a year to judge how it is, you can't just change the whole system that's been there for more than 3 decades with 4~5 months yk. even the only releases that's worked by the new management fully still just riize's, hyo's & aespa's latest release, and key's album. the rest was still done by the old management and handed to the new one later on (yes, including kyungsoo's new album. it's been worked on since last year)
I love what they did with Riize, they have a more natural and warm feel compared to kpop groups nowadays. All kpop groups feel "manufactured" in general, especially for the past couple of years. So Riize feels refreshing.
Man, the fact that SM will debut THREE new groups within a year's span (Riize, NCT Japan and the new girl group), I'm praying for Katie's wallet. 😂😂😂

@@oyleistenaber Yeah, this is the first time I've seen SM debut this many groups in such close proximity! The last time they did anything close was when SNSD, SHINee and f(x) debuted in 2007, 2008, and 2009 respectively. The new girl group was originally supposed to debut in either Q3/4 of this year, but it's been delayed to Q1 of 2024. But yeah, I'm excited too since it's rumored to be SM's first large girl group since SNSD! That's gonna bring a LOT of attention.

Btw I'm getting hooked on Riize everyday more but rn I still can't tell them all apart (obviously except my boys Sungchan and Shotaro) but I'm loving them so much 💕 then they debuted on September 4th (my birthday date) it's a special gift for me
if I had the chance to get the Japan exclusive one I would of LOL. I love Sungchans choppy hair style look I think it makes his eyes pop out more so he looks like a cute deer to me if that makes sense, and even if you don't pick a bias soon I hope you still enjoy the group content I think their all funny! My favorite is memories and talk saxy. At first I hated the ra pa pa pa part but now I need to listen to it always. and your right EunSeok is the visual. Sungchan wants you to bias him so he keeps appearing in your pulls lol. btw your nails are so cute.
Just got the Realize version of their album and it become one of my favorite album purchases for 2023 together with NewJeans Blue Book that I’ve purchased last January this year

I've already commented before, but several times I wait to see your video to decide whether or not to buy an album or version!! I was especially waiting for an unboxing of RIIZE because I was really unsure whether I would buy it... For some reason they remind me of SHINee in many aspects (others not so much) and it was practically impossible not to like them at first!
As the group was “formed little by little” I have 3 favorite members so far, 1 from each part of the formation: Shotaro (from the ex-NCT members), Eunseok (from the ex-SM rookies) and Wonbin (from the last revealed members).
PS: my favorite song of theirs (Siren) hasn't been released yet and that makes me a little sad 🫠

I want to praise sm 3.0 now new group got opportunity producing single album which is only 2 songs that probably very rare case (sm prefer to make mini album contains 5-6 songs or full lengths album+repackaged) when i look back sm on lsm hand aespa couldn't make it for debut album if they make single album for black mamba and next level that would be great
