Can you ever get enough of this band? NO. I love them so much.
Seriously wonderful performances on this set! The whole band is in the groove, all of them with some of their best performances ever! Nice to see Erika standing upright and dancing with that drum, but I can see why she got tired of it. Too bad that the combination of Ewan Bleach and Jon Doyle didn't become a permanent fixture-it was a smokin' combination-and the effect of Shaye, Barnabus, Ewan and Jon playing together really gives that amazing traditional sound: Dixieland at its joyful best-the real deal. Miss the banjo here, but you can't have everything. Tuba Skinny!

Love this group. Stumbled upon them on the street when I was out there years ago.
Fabulous years. Here we are in 2013, with the two geniuses at the winds: Jonathan (tenor sax) and Ewan (clarinet), Shaye's sharp and ready to phrasing cornet, and the screaming voice (without microphone) of the young Erica Bessie Smith. Nostalgia.

Blues, jazz is the basis of all genres, and Shaye Cohn is ESO. I love her improvisation. Tuba Skiny is a band as a belt.

This is probably the most appealing Tuba Skinny busking video I've seen. Filming the band in such a setting is extremely difficult, and yet this video is great in many ways. The dancing sure adds to the spectacle, and your two-camera technique shows us the band better than a single camera could. What a joy!

We were in New Orleans in 2020 right before the shut down in February for my birthday and would have loved to see your band but did not see anything like this in the streets. We were so disappointed but maybe a sign of the times. Was not anything like we had before.

The music! The style, the concept, the delivery is so perfect. True musicianship for the love of music is rare in this digital age. I'll be on the lookout for you guys in Dallas, but I might just have to visit NOLA to catch you live :). My grandpa played dixieland jazz banjo on the riverboats in St. Louis and this was the music I first learned to play. Watching you guys is like going home. All the best for you!
