- Since the beginning of russian armed aggression, soldiers of 128th brigade took part in some of the most hellish battles, holding the ground even when it seemed impossible, like in the battle under Sanzharivka, where military men of 128th brigade faced major losses, but still stood their ground and prevented enemy forces from continuing offensive actions in Sanzharivka's direction. They're most famous for their commanders, 2 of which were awarded with the highest national title of "Heroes of Ukraine": Serhiy Shaptala and Chayuk Denys. In may 2022, the brigade was given the award "For courage and bravery"
In october 2022, during ukrainian counter-offensive, the enemy began to panic. Russians willingly become prisoners of war and flee from ukrainian land. Warriors of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade are liberating Kherson region.
