They just released an update on it, and they fixed some performance issues for the switch.

They have slightly improved the performance for when the game is played in dock mode, but the performance in hand held mode still sucks.

It seems to work okay. If your looking for a fun game rather than a good looking one. When it rains and you have a big army it gets laggy and expect crashes (especially when leaving/joining other ppls worlds)
I got the game on Switch, and it does pi$$ me off when it lags like crazy and it crashes. You said frame skipping? maybe it's that that is why my game crashes. I had the game since the 20ths 2 days after launch, and it crashed 11 times yes I counted every crashed bc it happened so many times

No. The answer is no. The Nintendo Switch needs an upgrade, and a larger 720p OLED display with a slightly upgraded dock isn't an upgrade. We need better specs, we wanna play at 60fps, we want a better gaming experience. Especially for Animal Crossing users who are limited to 1 Island per console, it's safe to assume that Nintendo HATES their fan base.
