I don't think the drama is romanticising their relationship. It is just showing that people like these exist and relationships like these exist, where they are aware of lines drawn beteween them and they know that will be hurt but they still go on with it. This is a reality that exists!

I love this k drama.the story is very realistic..it happens in real life..especially our young generation.most of them can't control their feeling..their emotion.their just only flirting and cheating one to another. Do they have a good relationship after all of these wrong doing ?? No because they suffer a lot of consequence. A lot of pain and heartache..
I watched (well, binge-watched) this series and as a series about one girl learning her boundaries it's really interesting. And I disagree that the boy is especially toxic, they both come from toxic backgrounds. They both have their similarities: both fatherless apparently, both rather neglected by their mothers. She learns how to set her boundaries, and express them, he learns how to commit and not hide the hurt behind the smile; how lucky it is to find a right teacher and companion at a young age of 22 or 23! P.S. I do hope she learns how to tell the guy to use condoms!
Fitting song! think Jae-On was afraid to commit because he was afraid of emotional connections. He was genuine in the moments with Nabi but any deep emotional connection clearly scared him. In spite of himself he did get in deeper with her and seemed to discover that letting someone in doesn't have to be scary and that yes you could get hurt but as the title says, Nevertheless sometimes the risk is worth the reward. I enjoyed watching Nabi getting stronger and gaining confidence and Jae-on becoming more open and vulnerable to her. The two actors had such great chemistry as well. I binge watched the series. I hope Song Kang and Son Hee do another series together.

He thought he couldn't love anyone, so he didn't get into any relationships because he knew it would just end up hurting the person he was in a relationship with. It's like two sides of him were fighting each other, the side that thought he couldn't love anyone, and the lonely side.

Nabi and Jae-eon are still drawn to each other and have a connection. Nabi isn’t the one who got obsessed, it’s Jae-eon.
