Alternatively, there were driven into a retreat after a man called Mibunomuroji Maro, after their repeated impediment of the building of a moat in the area.

Omg how have i been so blind! The music changes when the boss enters the demon realm just lissen 1:15 And I did more search and seems to be the same for other bosses too! I love that! Its like phase 2 but boss can choose activate it when he pleases. Here too 2:23 after a few seconds music changes back to normal.
This is the first real wall in the game that you have to climb before moving on. The music is appropriate also because it sounds like alarms going off amd just sounds like pure panic.
What triggers the yokai realm and what makes it change back to normal? With kamaitachi I just waited and eventually it would change, but with this boss I literally waited for 5 minutes and it never changed back to normal.

More like when Ninja Gaiden and Dark Souls mate, seeing as Nioh is made by the same devs as NG. Plus, a lot of attack combos and weapon types that are in Nioh are pulled straight out of NG 1 and 2, just generally slowed down a bit for Nioh 1 and 2 to fit the combat in those games
@@007accessb4 I meant more the boss itself. It has many similar moves to a certain species of monster in the 3ds games. It can fire scales, whip hunters with its tail, wrap around the hinter before diving headfirst into the middle, use the entirety of its body to slam down on the hunter, etc.
I tried to fight him maybe 6/7 times solo, I was completely obliterated. I finished the first Nioh, I also had the impression is more difficult than the first one

I solod the whole demo. The first boss was ballz to the wall hard but this boss was easy. The yokai realm is complicated. Some yokai feel strong in it while others i see no difference. If you have an isues there is a survey to relay your concerns.

@Dan the Axolotl After spending an insane amount of time playing Nioh 1, Nioh 2 just seems overly complex. I think they went a bit overboard with systems and even controls using both realms and the new soul core moves. I spent 15 minutes looking at every skill in every tree and never could find backstab. It was an unlocked skill in Nioh 1 and I never found it at all in the beta for Nioh 2. Hopefully I will get used to it all once the game releases. I loved the first one too much to miss Nioh 2.
I liked this second level of beta more than the first one, it felt really interesting to explore imo. That said it seems that the developers didn't learn how to properly balance the game, again. Same problem I had with Nioh, ENEMIES DOES TOO MUCH FUCKING DAMAGE and that wouldn't be much of an issue if you also do but... YOU DON'T. I liked this level because it makes you plan strategies and use your brain but I hate the two boss battles of the beta, fucking HP pools of enemies with one shoot grabs = BULLSHIT.
Once he transforms, the music picks up and gets more interesting. But man, that first 60 seconds or so is some of the most ear grating, obnoxious music I've ever heard. It's like they're trying to make you fear the boss by playing this horribly off-putting, evil sounding music. I watched my friend fight this boss, and I told him the music sounds like something you'd hear in a movie where the protagonist walks into a room, and there's just a bunch of Mad Max looking dudes like murdering babies or something
@Ali Miri don't blame you mate image up and teleported out going to respect points and go back in again tho not sure whether to try ninjitsu or try old school, like nioh 1 and go katana, put over 500hrs into original game loved it not sure about this new you shift can't get it quite right yet 😢

Fought this boss multiple times, different builds, It's not as hard as some make it out to be. Its challenging, but its not bad once you figure out the timings and using Good Yokai Abilities. Only kind of random attack is the Grab Attack, even then its not too bad with Heavy Armour or enough points in Health.
Fuck this thing. I was actually considering buying this game until I got to this. If this is how Nioh 2 is going to be, then I'm not interested. I am not going to spend money to feel pissed off and frustrated. I'm tired of game designers thinking instant deaths with zero telegraphing and no reliable way to avoid it makes a game good. I platinumed Sekiro. I "got gud." This fight is total fucking bullshit.
I've played bloodborne and Sekiro. This fight looks more Bloodborne-ish than Sekiro-ish. Sekiro is my taste so I keep waiting. Maybe ghost of Tsushima have something interesting for me

Because you have not experience the challenge of a fast pace game. Yea you play dark soul and it was hard but nioh is like ninja gaden when the enemies is in your face 24/7 where you have no room to breath. You may say dark souls is hard but nioh is way harder.

Nioh just didn't have that kind of pull that makes me want to keep playing it over and over again, but Nioh still a good game to play tho and I'm definitely going to try Nioh 2 it might just be more interesting than the first one was.

Piece of shit boss. They made this game not understanding how to make a boss battle legit anymore. Just really annoying and that isn’t fun. I would HATE to replay this boss. That means the game has no replayability. Hyper mobile bosses with really trashy lock on functions makes this my least favorite boss fight ever in my life. I believe nioh 1 is the best or easily top 3 games I have ever played but this.. This is disgraceful. I’m playing the Beta as I type this.
I think its a kind of getting used to not being op anymore. I played Nioh 1 last week on my lvl 280 account and felt invincible, than came into the beta thinking its going to be ok. BOY WAS I WRONG in a good way^^. The only thing I hated about this Boss was the (in my opinion) undodgable grab attack, which forced me to play like a coward and wait for openings which made one fight take almost half an hour. But hey thats the drill I guess, now I feel proud having beat that Boss: - Solo - w/o Buffs on me - w/o Debuffs on the boss.
@Ali Miri the best way to beat the boss is to kill every single demons to get some good armor, weapons, and level up hp and probably stamina, beside summoning a visitor would only make it harder.

It's like the Great Value brand of Dark Souls. The combat is terrible on Nioh, both the animations, and the AI. If you're gonna rip off From Software's work, at least do it justice.

You gotta check the boons in the shrine after beating the first mission and transform in the hut into William
If you have the save it is available immediately. The game designer said it is a freebie for nioh 1 players. Beta everyone gets it tho.

I really hate the living weapon in Nioh 2. It gives you that slow clunky mace and everything just seems to dodge your attacks.

So hard. Barely beat it. Was using axe and it's pretty slow for nioh 2 I feel, or I dont use it right lol
Use low stance if you want quiker hits.
Slow stance, get to their back, then rinse the shit out of then with a quick high stance combo.
I find the axe just a bit too slow for this game. Odachi is much better out of the two strength weapons

Nioh is ass compared to souls
The world of nioh is much less interesting to me than dark souls but the combat is so much deeper. That's really the selling point imo

Ehhh...just treat it like Bed of Chaos from Dark Souls. That one boss you dont like, but kill it and move on the rest of the game.
