same i thought they worked better together
Well for the first time I saw a show where they literally showed( second lead ) thier scenes and chemistry 90% more , just for the girl to end up with the lead who got the screen time only in the last 2-3 episodes and that to again less then second lead. GOd knows what writer was thinking. Though I enjoyed the show but again for me also , it would have made sense if the girl would have ended up with the best friend rather than the other one, considering the calmness and deptyh in the relationship they showed in the show
The scene where he puts her makeup on so skilled and carefully, it's such an beautiful intimate moment. I've never seen a scene like this where a guy does a girl's makeup

As far as I know, if you have certain types of beauty license, you are qualified to do hair, skincare, makeup, and nails (yes, all of them). In some countries, you can even offer all of these services in a salon even without certifications (or proper training lol).
Since they work in a beauty salon that is supposed to offer all these services, I would assume they know their way around these skills. So he may not actually be a "makeup artist" by title (because then he can only do makeup). I think the proper term is beautician or cosmetologist or something.
