    A great thing about this meter is that the display characters are clearly visible from all angles, with the exception is they only fade some when looking from an extreme angle from directly above. Otherwise they are very clear left, right, and from below.

    I have several Klein meters. The only one that reads frequency remotely accurate is my CL900.. All the others are all over the place.. Wanted this to work out as the size is perfect for my toolbag… The fluke 112 stays and the Klein gets tossed in the drawer..

    Not bad maybe a bit pricey but better than some past Klein reviews ive read might suggest, nice rugged overall build quality that shows in the case and the board as well with good accuracy as it should be. Strikes me as more of an AC oriented no nonsense electricians meter in view of minimal cap range etc. Im not a huge fan of the smallish display and a a bit too thick on the fonts as stated - just my personal preference. The battery contact situation could indeed be improved to be more convenient and it really should have a bar graph at this price but again it may be fine for other users. Its a step up from many cheaper imports in build quality, so some of the price goes to build quality and id rather pay for that than weak features like sketchy NCV ranges weak flashlights and transistor testors. You could do worse as Darren says, still for ths price you can do better for the same money in other brands such as some of the newer UniT offerings among others.

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 3 lety +2

      True enough If! If they could revamp the chunky display, poor fuse access and include a bargraph it would really make a difference!

    I bought the MM 400 from Home Depot used it two times to check battery voltage on a 12 V system. Third use the meter was jumping all over erratically and could not get a reading.. I tried to change the battery. I had it less than a year, but misplaced the receipt. I called Klein customer service and they told me they do not repair them and they will not back them with no receipt. This meter is total garbage.
