    Another great review, thank you.
Regarding the discussion of whether or not this constitutes a true AMG, my view is that this is precisely what an AMG should be - refined, elegant, yet packs a punch when called for. It's got to be a Mercedes-Benz first and foremost, as if it were a thoroughbred in a tailored suit. I think the E63s and C63s, and the so-called GTs and the GT R (I say so-called because they're hardly 'grand tourers') are too uncouth, and - as you put it - brutish, for a car wearing the three pointed star.
Perhaps my view has been tempered by the fact that I see Mercedes-Benz as a luxury brand first and foremost, and not a performance brand. When I was growing up, Mercedes-Benz were exclusive and desirable, instead of being so widely available in almost every segment these days. The first cars produced after Mercedes-Benz/AMG tie-up, namely, the W202 C36 and the W210 E36, had straight six engines, not V8s, and they looked subtle. It was hard to tell them apart from standard W202s and W210s. And that's what I liked about them.

There’s no exhaust valve. The change in a sound in sport plus mode is due to a different ecu setting. (Timing etc)

amg performance exhaust was available from my 2020. This car doesn't have it, mine neither..

The review is great however there is one functionality that I am missing. I did not watch the whole video yet so maybe its still coming up. In my w213 E Class Limousine I have a button to lift the car a bit. And I really need that button. But I cant see it on the E53. It says that the AMG Dynamic Body Control is based on the Airmatic so technically you should be able to press a button and lift the car a few cm. Its really handy I am surprised and worried noone mentioned it in any of the e53 Cabrio reviews.

@@Galaxy89cars I watched the Video it was very indepth. What was funny though you talked about every Button except one. The one for the ride hight. It was to the right of the steering wheel in a glossy black bar under the right vent, above the light controls. I found out it was moved away from the touch pad for the E53 only. Anyways got a subsrciption since your video was very detailed and answered other questions for me. Thanks.

Great work on the review, informative yet with good constructive criticisms. I really love what Mercedes is doing with the 53-Lineup and powertrain. A definitive improvement over the previous E43, which wasn't quite bad in itself honestly. I was heavily considering the E43 earlier this year but ended up moving on to something else.

Hi, is this the MHEV version? Would the MHEV version be more economical?

Hi, no this is the standard ICE version. I imagine the mhev will probably be more economical.

@@Galaxy89cars the only thing i would add is more footage of the exterior (close ups etc) and while the car is moving. These could be edited in while you are talking so would not increase the length of the video

Yeah I did that in this video, but you're right, I could use more.

What a typical British autumn day. All the better for driving in. Have you had another "slidey moment" in the porsche yet?
