The reason i went sylvan arms over law tactical is they have a buffer retaining nut instead of a detent. To my knowledge for adapters, your bcg extension is suppose to apply pressure to your buffer/spring when you close the adapter allowing the detent to never get touched when shooting due to slightly being pushed away by bcg extentsion. The sweet spot is having your buffer tube close enough to the detent (but not touching) and your buffer/spring close enough from the bcg extension to be pushed off the detent while closed. The buffer retaining nut as mentioned earlier allows you to go without a detent while eliminating the problem of the buffer hitting the detent and bending/breaking it due to it having a larger surface area for the buffer to rest and even hit against.

GHG is right. The buffer tube is definitely supposed to hold that pin in place. It’s not supposed to ever pop out even if you take out the buffer and buffer spring.
The buffer tube probrally needs one more revolution to fully retain that pin. When installing your supposed to turn until its too tight and back it off until until it retains it. If you only turn it enough to barely touch the pin it can have enough play to pop out. Not all buffer tubes are the same so the amount of revolutions can be different from tube to tube.

The buffer retainer ( the part that popped out when you where back at home and about to fix it) is bent but it shouldnt hurt anything, might be a good idea just to keep an eye on it

Best bet is to use a regular buffer tube, then you'll never have that problem. Especially if you plan to use the gun for self defense.

The buffer tube was not timed right. The buffer tube should be screwed in so it holds down the detent.

The bolt carrier is what makes it full auto. The bottom of the carrier will have more material. Thats all it takes aside from the sear.

I had a lot of tulammo in 556 and it ruined my m16 barrel and almost my Daniel defense mk18 barrel…don’t use it, it was seizing to the chambers so bad they had to weld a rod to the case head and jerk it out
And yet the same crap ammo runs fine in a $400 PSA.

It’s the quality of the ammunition and the quality control…the 500 round case that I bought ended up having 1 stuck case in a 14.5in faxon build, 3 stuck cases in the m16 brownels barrel, 2 stuck cases in the mk18 barrel, and then I was gonna throw it away but some dumb ass said it was fine to run in his bear creek arsenal and his palmetto state armory builds….guess what? Almost 30% of the rounds were out of spec and he completely ruined his BCA and had to take a welder and weld a rod to the end of the case head on the PSA and pull it out but the case damaged his chamber so he gets stuck cases with brass now….so no this crap doesn’t run fine thru a 400$ PSA build
