This has reminded me why I don't play football. Too many people take it so seriously. It's funny to watch, but exhausting to partake in.
mmm been there, done that, retired four seasons ago now but don't miss it largely for precisely that reason; far too many people are hell-bent on making it an unenjoyable experience for everyone around them, whether it's the officials, the opposition or their own team 'mates', whether it's win at all costs or 'the banter' or an over-inflated perception of their own abilities and 'career' trajectory. Too many vampires and I just ran out of blood. And pace.

I was watching non-league football already. However this Ogmios 'experiment' has inspired me to watch two matches even further down the pyramid this month. It's a minor revelation when you realise that the entertainment value you feel at the final whistle, bears no correlation to how much you've paid (or not paid) to spectate.

I injured my ACL last year and I'm looking to have surgery on it soon, but in the mean time I have been watching my grassroots club play every week home and away, and although it's not the same as playing, I have enjoyed every moment. Another great video Ogmios. The heckling of the ref really shows what’s wrong with football in this country. Whatever his decisions, it’s really really poor and I was really impressed with how the ref handled it

Highlight of my week Ogmios, thank you. Very well earned ciabatta.. Amazing winning goal! Ive got a question though, some of the leagues dont have that many teams in them - does that mean the league fixtures will finish fairly soon? How long is the season for Dvision 3 for example?
Prem, div 1 and 2 have 10 teams. Div 3/4 have 9 teams. They will play each other twice so maximum of 18 matches or 16 matches for div3/4. So plenty of games still! Plus the cups 🏆
Get a chain to keep your keys on and hook it to your trousers. Also you should have a hi-vis jacket to look official. 👍
Thought the ref did ok. Disgraceful to see players intimidating the ref like this at grass roots level.
Great videos Ogmios! I think the crows might be rooks? To identify rooks they have dirty beaks because they look for grubs in the dirt crows tend to have shiny beaks.

Poor ref man he's just doing his best to support community football and this is the treatment he gets. I understand it in the big leagues but come on its Sunday League lads have some perspective
