    What is atmospheric valve?,
    What are they extinguishers are having pressure gauge?,
    how control valve is used to control the extinguishing agent of PFE,

    • @IndianOverlanderLife
      @IndianOverlanderLife Před 3 lety

      No every portable extinguisher doesn't have vent holes
      Cartridge type extinguishers have vent hole in cap assembly as when you strike the plunger it punctures the cartridge of extinguisher and try to expell the extinguishing media
      If there is any choke/obstruction for expelling the extinguishing media then in order to release the pressure build up in extinguisher vent hole is provided

    • @IndianOverlanderLife
      @IndianOverlanderLife Před 3 lety

      Related to atmospheric valve what I guess is about snifter valve located in cap assembly
      Snifter valve is located in cap assembly of extinguisher for water and foam and that to for cartridge type only so that when the extinguisher is placed near any heat I mean exposed directly to sun light then those liquid start to boil and due to internal pressure those liquid will be expelled out with operating the extinguisher
      In order to prevent that and release those presuure snifter valve is present in cap assembly which releases the pressure build up inside

      You can re-use the extinguisher after replacing the punctured cartridge in case of DCP and foam but cannot reuse CO2 extinguisher ( thus you need 100% spare of it ). For CO2 extinguisher you have to land it ashore for refilling.
