    Two things that I believe are helpful to have with you, even if you don’t “need” them - they are: extra batteries for whatever devices use them, and a small flash unit.. yes, even in the daylight. A little flash can help make your photos a teensy bit better. Trust me.. or not. lol

      I do have a wire that connects modern flashes to my film cameras, but i’m still not used to it enough to call it to include it in my edc! Batteries tho, i do need batteries 😂

    Great update Dayne. I agree with @flyingo, bring along a fill in flash unit.

    Has the Kex lightmeter been 100% reliable for you in means of accuracy? Im considering buying one since I bought too many cameras with broken lightmeters 😂. Keep up the good work btw!

      It’s pretty accurate, it doesn’t have spot metering options so keep that in mind when shooting a high contrast scene. I like to meter for the shadows do i usually point it more towards the shadows of my composition to get close to what i want :)

    any advice for starting out with medium format more specifically 645

    • @DayneFilm
      @DayneFilm  Před 6 měsíci +2

      I have a 6x6 and down the line i’d want a 645 or a 6x7 cause of the aspect ratio!
      Medium format is so fun despite having less exposures. The larger format means scans are sUUPER detailed! The depth of field planes are a lil more extreme than 35mm, so i’d pay extra attention to what aperture you use and double check focus
