Explanation: The girl who punched the tall dude's name is Nick. And Nick is a foster kid. Her dad is in jail for robbing a convenience store and her mother is dead. The tall dudes name is Jeremy and the other girl behind her is named Molly and they are siblings. Nicks father thinks that Jeremy's family is responsible for why he is in jail. Because the mom owns a restaurant and so did nicks dad before he went to jail. Jeremy's mom's (Liz) restaurant was struggling while Nick's dad's restaurant ( franzellis) was going great. So Liz undercut their prices and Jeremy's dad ( Ed) denied their bank loan, Molly posted fake bad reviews on yelp or something and Jeremy stole fliers that nick and her father spent their last dollars on. Because money was so tight and the restaurant was struggling, the date made bad decisions. One of them was making a deal with the Mafia or something and then struggled to pay it off so he robbed a convenience store. Then cops came and arrested Nick's father. Then Nick went into foster care and her foster parents are con artists. The foster parents teach her how to be a con artist and she is really good at it. Then to scan the family, she gets out into Jeremy's house as a foster kid. Everyone but Jeremy was friendly and accepting. Jeremy always had a suspicion on Nick. That suspicion was right because Nick's mission was to steal and get back at the Thompsons for running her life with her dad. Also they don't know that she isn't supposed to be there and her real foster parents are the con artists. And then they found her secret phone that the con artists gave to her just in case something happened, and started questioning her about it and Nick started getting scared so that's why she punched him.
He 100% deserved that. He was acting all “Bro why I don’t get it” that’s because you’ve never been abused?? He was gaslighting her into making it seem like her fault, withholding her things, and just being an AH in this scene
For everyone confused, the ONLY reason she's even like this is because these kidd and their parents were intimidated by the restaurant she and her father had opened for a long time, so they did everything in their power to destroy their business. Which caused them to lose their customers, then their restaurant, then, because they were so poor, it lead to her father, in a desperate attempt to get them out of poverty, to steal. He was caught and taken to prison, where the girl was then taken from him and she forever stayed in the foster system, where she bounced from home to home, some better, some worse. So while what she was doing was wrong, she was just giving them the BARE minimum of what they did to her.
Whether HER saying it is a lie or the truth she makes an EXTREMELY valid point. Its GOOD that some do not understand one needing to have a secret phone hidden away. Not ALL people and or places are safe and even if they say that they ARE they could very well NOT be. Everything is not usually black and white.... So yes of course they are going to say "yes of course you are safe safe safe, yet in reality... Not so much.
but from your information, the same thing can be said about the other one, you don’t know if this person has good intentions because she use her second phone to steal stuff and call other people get the stuff

Um except a few things. 1. Hot room, which she shares with the other girl. 2. She came into that home with the intention to steal from them and ruin their lives.

And I get that it sucks to have Jeremy constantly annoying you but it would be different if he wasn’t right, which he was. Long story short she was using the phone to call her old foster parents and her dad to carry out a plan to rob the house make the parents lose their business, get Jeremy expelled and even make Molly lose all her friends so yeah hate to side with Jeremy here but if you saw the whole show you would know he is kinda the good guy

Explanation:
The girl who punched the tall dude's name is Nick.

@@kingcreedo6010 No, He's obviously wrong. She needs a safe space and him searching it tells her that she won't ever have that. They could've work on her stealing, but now they'll never be able to.
Equal rights equal lefts
@@kingcreedo6010she was stealing, but his family is the reason her families resturant went under, why her dads in prison and why she got dumped through the foster system.
@@dreamerdon6021He was undebatably in the right.
If things weren't being stolen (by her) in prior episodes and she wasn't constantly caught doing very sketchy lies in prior episodes, he would be indubitably be in the wrong in this convo.
However, she WAS stealing and she WAS constantly lying in prior episodes, and she was carefully using practiced foster care issue responses to cover up that the reason for the hidden phone was to communicate with those who had her stealing.
He had the right to completely ignore her practiced foster care issue responses and press her for the actual truth because he had enough experiance with her to know she was FoS.
She may have foster care issues but they were most certainly NOT on the forefront of her mind when she was extremely close to being exposed as a thief.
If you lie and steal, many of your boundaries are null and void.
I remember being like oh my God when I saw that scene and the fact she was lying but was still so right and so like relatable is just crazy to me because you’ve never had to just hit different

No Good Nick and I would hardly call the writing a masterpiece. That's like saying Power Rangers isn't a rip off of Super Sentai. Sometimes people just do not get "Privacy" like even if someone hides something for no reason u still shouldnt be looking through their stuff 💀-
Well she was stealing from them so clearly he was right
Exactly
Except in this case all she did was lie after lie after lie and he knew it was all lies so he searched her room. Even her explanation was a lie.
Either way you should NOT be looking through peoples stuff and I never watched this so idk what happened I was just making a point on how its wrong to look through peoples stuff no matter what.
@@randomthingsotheracc963 if someone if lying to you constantly you know it but have no proof, you look for proof. I don't care if she was lying, what he was doing is exactly the reason she has to hide things like that. Because some unfortunately don't get to live in a safe household where there's always a phone available to call the police or social services

Bro I swear this show needs a season 3 I absolutely love it. It is so underrated that it deserves more love
He didn't respect boundaries, she straight up assaulted him.
Well technically takin someone’s property is sometimes seen as battery.. it probably wouldn’t in this scenario. But in reality, he violated her first, so she got him back lmao
Not assault in my opinion and he not only went through property that wasn't his he stole it as well

Yeah it’s not always safe in foster care . I’ve been out of that since I was 17 but I’m 30 now and still don’t feel safe and secure even though I know deep down I am now safe . I don’t think some people get what being brought up in the system from the age of 3-4 actually can do to people’s psyche
I also hate when I stay with ppl who keep interfere/go through my things, she's right

Because she was talking to her dad to steal from them
It's hard whenever you're trained to hide things in an abusive situation. Everybody immediately assumes that you're lying or sneaking or thieving. They don't think about what you're going through. But those people should stay strong because they don't have to prove themselves to anyone. They are amazing and perfect the way they are.
This show deserved another season

why is the brother acting like the parent getting so mad at her for hiding her phone-
Because he thinks she has a secret (which is true btw) and he is angry because she doesn't tell him what the secret
It's because she lies so much
His behavior in this video is the perfect reason to hide your things.
Her phone so it’s her business, where she keeps it.
He , on the other hand, has NO business asking about it or looking for it.
Also he is stupid to not understand why a foster kid may want a emergency life line.
As someone who went through the system, I always hid stuff that I found important. Even food. I was only 5. I never had a secret phone but it’s sad that I felt like I needed to hide food and blankets and whatnot. Some foster “families” only see foster kids as and extra salary. I had a couple of foster families where I couldn’t sleep in an actual bed or eat with the family. Sometimes the parents would punish me for harming their kids when their kids really just hurt themselves to get me in trouble. The parents knew this bit of info too! I’m just happy that God blessed me with a family that is understanding. I’m 18 now and the only things I hide or keep secret is memories that my, now, forever home have given me. 😊
Story's like yours just reaform the fact I want to foster and maybe adopt one day I'm glad you found a family who loves you
You don't know me but I'm rooting for you God bless
when you're passed through homes it's very clear after a while most people don't care about you or your best interest. so keeping the phone is to make sure you're safe
That punch caught me off guard 😂😂😂

“You’re safe here” actions speak louder than words my dude
So for those who haven’t watched the show she is actually VERY shady. She manipulated her way into becoming apart of this family in order to pay off her fathers debt + to get revenge because in her eyes, that family is the reason why her dad ended up going to jail. She does a lot of very bad things in this show.
So technically, the guy was right. She was lying. But honestly her explanation makes a lot of sense and if I were in his position I would’ve believed her and let it go. The only reason why this manipulation tactic did not work was because of how privileged he is.
So props to her for thinking on the spot but honestly she should’ve known that he wasn’t going to fall for it.
