@@whatsinaname6745 I grew up in a Worcester three decker, in a decent neighborhood. It had lots of character. We had an old time communication system that let you talk to people on the front porch through a pipe. It was fun growing up there, but I wouldn't want to live in a three decker again. I remember it being very hot in the summer and cold and drafty in the winter, plus all of those stairs were a pain on shopping day. I think the house we lived in was built before 1900.

Represent The Woo!! That’s My City and I love ❤️ every inch of it.
Even the Ghettos. It does have a lot of history to it and a lot of our three deckers were built over 100 yrs ago.
I love when the City historical society has the ability to make the old three deckers look like new again. There are a few buildings and houses in the Ghettos that fall into Historical sights like a lot of the churches and some of the most beautiful 3 deckers get beautiful facelifts it would be great if there was enough funds to restore all of them they’re so beautiful inside with Hard wood floors built in the wall cupboards. Some have hide away doors that are still usable. I mean they just don’t make houses like that anymore. Worcester is a beautiful historical city with beautiful architecture and It might look rough Even some of us living there might look rough lol but, most of us are really nice and would help someone before hurting them. I’ve lived between Worcester and Leicester MA my entire life. I would love to travel around the world but, I’d always make it back to My home, Worcester MA

I'd say the worst places are Great Brook Valley, after downtown headed towards Webster Square Kilby, King, Queen, Piedmont. It starts to get somewhat better after Clark University, Plumly Village and probably other places in the city that I didn't visit often. I lived at 39 Grand St and had a slumlord who was a lawyer. People would sleep in the basement. Not good. I then moved to the good part of Maywood Street off of Park Ave. It started to go downhill with teenagers walking in front of your car in the middle of the street so we moved to a nice section of Webster. I was married was pregnant and had a 6yr old. It was time to leave. I hate driving in the city especially Kelley Sq. My blood pressure and anxiety go up. There are some really good places to live in Worcester. I live in Whitinsville now and love it.

@Neighborhood Guy, you are filming how it is now after my video series caught the action and brought awareness to the problems that were not being addressed by the then Chief of Police Gary J. Gemme who liked to "keep it contained" to my neighborhood. Which is the reason I needed to produce the series to raise awareness to the horrific situation that was then ongoing daily 24/7/365. Only after I raised awareness where the problems facing my tenants addressed and taken care off, the people selling moved on rather than to be the next "Star" in my next video. Once the problem abated, I stopped producing videos and my tenants can get a good nights rest without constant yelling outside their windows all night long.
You could have benefitted by narration in your video also, explaining to those viewing it what they were seeing as you made it, I know you had sound, can hear your blinker. Also the time of day would make a difference. Not bad though.

The ghetto in Worcester was not what I expected. I've lived to San Francisco my entire life, and the ghetto of Worcester looks 10000% better than the ghetto here. You guys dont have trash, homeless people on every corner, dead people and druggies using in the street in mass. Actually incredible.

Is it a lot of r@cism against blacks in Worcester? How are we treated by whytes and Hispanics? Is there alot of interracial dating?

Any solution to this, or will the city council approve tearing much down so they can raise property taxes, add to constant traffic jams, andand tell us how LUCKY we are? I'd rather see most of this than the new crap theyrr thrilled to see put up. They say in all new housing with love affordable units. They need to define affordable housing.

Lmaooo Worcester Massachusetts ghetto is main south then second would be plum key abd last would be Lincoln village. Great broom valley but Mai south is definitely the ghetto almost everyone grew up or born and raised there.

I prefer Worcster over Holyoke to be honest. I’ve never had a problem in Worcster. Yes there are bad people but in these houses are just people trying to get by. Also WPD is very friendly and they help the community
