Everyone talks about Richard's fishing ability, and yes it's second to none. But Richard's comedy is I think overlooked in the comment sections. The Woo's, Elmo bits, and sudden lapses of coherent speech and thinking are what keeps me coming back. No one mixes fishing and comedic entertainment the way Rich does

Richard, took my wife to the Alabama Space Center a few weeks ago. During the drive, we crossed over Lake Guntersville both ways and each time all I could think of was you. Saw a guy fishing by a bridge and I blowed the horn and he waved. I told my wife.... Maybe that was "the fishing machine" ! She loves you videos too and she is quite the fisherman(fisherwarmin)..... I did something wrong on the Tennessee River Saturday morning. Was using minners and only caught white bass and skipjack. White bass tasted good. Ol Mr. Gene teaching us alot. God bless.

A crappie tube is one of my favorites. I take a 1/32 ounce jig head a thread it inside the tube body. Then tie it on under a bobber or just jig it. I like the cheap creme tubes you can find at Walmart best. The size is just right.

I think the crappie RGTFM catches at the 7:45 mark is a blue crappie. Notice the blue spot at the end of his tail and the blue tinted near the dorsal fin.

Love the crappie videos, hoping to get out and slay them soon. I don't know lamprey distributions in Alabama, but that looked like a Chestnut Lamprey which I don't believe to be invasive. Sea Lamprey have made their way into Northern waters and are nasty critters that probably give other lampreys a bad wrap. Chestnut Lamprey are indeed parasitic but usually won't kill a fish.

Love using tiny tubes for panfish/multi-species. I've even caught respectable bass on them. (And trout magnets too)

Great vid! That eel was nasty. You can buy smaller tubes that you don’t have to cut. They even come pre-set on a 1/32 oz jig. Believe they’re called trout tubes. I did a vid on them a while ago.
