By the time they've manufactured, transported, erected, and maintained the thing; it will generate enough electricity to pay for itself.
Yes.....that would be the point.

Hello! Which washing machine did you use? Which pressure must be in it for 80 meters tower's high?
What exactly is that red stuff?
It looks like those red crabs from that island went up there and laid its eggs
Eggs are never red. Hydraulic Oil is.
What's with the Rocky music??? Felt like it was a training montage lol
1:55 Indian IRATA practice?
Georgi Speleo when your country have so much mouths to feed - you will hire next one in 15 minutes. Maybe even cheaper than 10$ per day as previous!
what is the substance being cleaned off ?
Grease ... Oil ... Dirt
do all wind turbines leak out grease and oil like that ?
Bird feathers are most likely in the mix, but wind nerds like to blame housecats for killing bird species they never get near. savetheeaglesinternational.org/new/us-windfarms-kill-10-20-times-more-than-previously-thought.html
In south eastern Colorado (Colorado Green wind farm) the Rope partners clean dead grasshopper off the blade. Their remains gather dirt and dust; the build up adds measureable drag.
It looks like something broke and leaked. Probably fixed it now they clean.
Bahut hi sundar
Excellent work.

work of the angels
or Dare Devils?
I’m pretty sure one of those guys was driving my Uber lastnight!! 😂😂
That’s what I do for a living!
Keep it up.👌
how it got dirty?
Most would be oil spillage and leaks...
Could you kindly advise the total duration taken to clean one blade? Also how was the jet wash powered please?
Time taken depends upon how much dirty the blade is .... how much is the swept area ... technique used ... weather conditions .... no of people used ... whether lift present.... whether lift present etc?
What is the use of this activity@@prashantmokashi2123
Looks like blood
who long does it take to clean one wind turbine ?
Depends upon how dirty .. cleaning SOP etc
it looks as if they got random people off the street and were like “alright guys here’s the plan”
how often do you clean these blades.
Depends upon how dirty blade is and other factors
Wow.
Very delante 👍👌
It is not at all normal, this oil. The manufacturer should apply a solution to reduce this oil leak like many others manufacturers do from a long time ago.
What kind of chemicals or de greasers are they spraying that's oil in the wash falling into the soil?
These are proprietary OEM suppled.
@@prashantmokashi2123 so what are the chemicals?
Proprietary detergents.
ONLY IN INDIA A WIND TURBINE WOULD BE THIS BAD
Or Like all of them in Texas
Hey easy.. lubricant and oil leaks are not unknown especially in older machines.
@@prashantmokashi2123 how does it get so dirty? I'm genuinely curious. I have seen 100s of clean wind turbines, never like this
Just a little Friendly shit talk, I work in wind as a traveling tech, often in Texas. Many different different turbine makes have issues with hydraulic pitch systems that end up leaking oil into the blades. Also the pitch bearing seal is made of a rubber that naturally breaks down and cracks. Since the bearings are greased by an automatic system once the seal is compromised the system keeps pumping grease into and spews everywhere. Many platforms suffer this including american and European makers. The dirt/oil has nothing to do with what country it is in or even the techs who maintain the turbines. Point the finger at college grads who design flawed systems ;)
Also how about that? Wind turbines spill oil all over the place, there’s a reality check...
@@seemo144 Thanks. Well said. Knowing the subject intricacies and then responding appropriately with politeness is really appreciated.
nice work. may I ask what type of degreaser and pressure washer was used? also how many days it took to clean this turbine please?
OMG how could they? Terrifying! :-)
Tubestar Team did it :)
2:12 , man is my reporting manager
name song please
The music reminds me of a Karate Kid or a Rocky montage.
I've got quite a few suggestions as far as safety requirements. First and for most, rope protection here is abysmal. I'd also like to see your rescue plan, do you have standby rescue personnel? Can operators be rescued easily from that position? Why not rig to rescue?. Come on guys we've gotta keep up the standard in rope access, it's all about being honest about what can and does go wrong and how we can prevent the worst from occurring.
Please suggest ..
The suggestions are in the comment.
I saw in one part ropes running around a handrail with no rope protection. pretty simple stuff here.
I mean no offence, just some ideas that cropped up. Its a dangerous job we do, no need to make it more so.
Nice job guys!
Thanks Cristian
If the blades starts to rotate, there can be no rescue plan. There will be only dead people
Hello. The address of the manufacturer that manufactures this type of giant fans with clean energy. Thank you very much...

Poor lads put in the deep end without the best ppe and equipment & by what I’ve seen not so much health & safety training. Good job tho. Wonder how far they have progressed since this video lol

Why all this anger ..... hatred
The hatred would be for the music - it's an intergenerational thing, where music like this is associated with blow-hard "rock star wannabe" attitude of the 1980s in the West, and thereby for the people who would've listened to music like this - most notably the people who very probably voted for Ronald Reagan, or who partook in the '80s "YUPPIE" culture especially BUSINESS culture, the "get rich quick" schemes which involved scamming people out of their money, or running former gov't institutions "like a business" which is to say burning them down and collecting the insurance money - if you get my meaning. The whole phenomenon is best explained in "American Psycho" by Brett Easton Ellis. The parasitical, vampiric, "bean-counter" economic "workers" who huffed so much coke that the money laundering in one city alone built the entirety of modern Miami real estate & infrastructure - Gawd knows what all was built in South & Central America. But meanwhile a whole swath of the old "American Dream" was sold off peace-meal - For instance, one of the first thing Ronald Reagan did when he took office, was to cancel the entire old-age disability program prompting a mass wave of suicides in senior citizens. What's sick is there are still people who miss Ronald Reagan not to mention people who still listen to this type of music! Now, the music might mean something entirely different to people in Eastern Europe let alone India - But over here it conjures up images of a raging hard-on with curly pube PERM rock-star hair all decked out in hair-spray rolling over a puffy shoulder-padded leather jacket billowing over acid-washed jeans. Which, again - might mean something completely different in other cultures. I would imagine the only way to convey the feeling to foreigners would be to make a rap song edited from sound-bytes of Peter Sellers in "The Party" together with Mickey Rooney in "Breakfast At Tiffany's" AND Jerry Lewis in "The Day The Clown Cried" - all riffing off their racist stereotypes replete with stylized snippets of culturally significant yet still stereotypical music - perhaps that Ravi Shankara album from that Simpson's episode about Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Ravi Shankara's record "A Song For Pakistan" where the album cover shows a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud. Maybe a lil' bit of 1980s Bollywood show-tunes, preferably something used by the political campaigns of Gandhi's grandchildren. And a chorus with Queen Victoria and King George, playing hot potato with the Kohinoor diamond and extolling the virtues of British "Curry" cuisine.....
SoyBoySigh Truly a literary work of art with that explanation SoyBoy
SoyBoySigh So you call Bryan Adams a rockstar wannabe? that's just sth I can't agree on, I am sorry.
SoyBoySigh So I see myself a big fan of bryan adams and automatically you would belittle me for that? Interesting! (Im from europe though)
What happened if didnt cleaning?
Power output will reduce. Asset value will depreciate.
This was never possible here in Germany for environmental reasons.
War auch mein erster Gedanke als ich die Reinigungsflüssigkeit sah 🤔
Looks like something big got hit by the blades and that's a bloody mess
Ye knsi jaga hy
What model of turbine is this?
We dont know but its indian
Seems a NEG Micon NM82, later renamed as V-82 when Vestas acquired NEG Micon. I’ve worked in that ones and looked the same as this one.
1:44 - Only 1 anchor point?
his feet are a point of contact, true story.
Nope... Two .... Inside ... Nacelle assy.
Look...
You just don't realize how big those turbines are, until you see men standing on the hub and rappelling down the blades, as a comparison of size. Besides looking better, how much does it improve the performance to clean the blades? There's got to be more than making it look pretty, to be worth the effort and risk.
Wait.... but how did it get so dirty??
Machine ... leakage ... Atmospheric dust
oh okay.... I've never seen one so dirty
Comedy gold.
Buena musica me encanto

why so dirty ? what is it ? oïl ?
hi Nicolas
Dear Nicolas who is being Nasty?
lol sorry, wrong translation, im french, I meant "dirty", Why are the blades dirty ?
machine leakage .. atmospheric dust
The rust looks a bit like blood 😂
Sweat is like blood
Seems like there's a problem with something inside of the gears of the blades, in the "nose cone" or whatever. Perhaps some bad water infiltration with the bearings getting all chewed up without enough lube? It just strikes me that this is rust, and that rust would indicate need for a serious overhaul, that washing off the rust like this rather than taking the blades off and fixing things, eventually the blades will get stuck in a certain angle of attack - and if there's ever a really strong wind and the angle of attack is too resistant to air flow, there could be some serious damage beyond replacement of a rusty bearing or a leaky exterior seal etc - I'd just hate to see these fantastic machines be neglected to the point that they burn out and then don't get replaced!
We had a similar problem in Belgium. A subco used the wrong grease in the pitch bearings and put too many of it. The outside seals broke, and the mix of the wrong grease (white) and the good one (red) made this rust-like colour. But it wasn't that bad and i'm surprised of the amount of trash here.
SoyBoySigh The bearings as well......
im wondered that nobody died.
It is still very dangerous for humans to do the cleaning. Robots would be more appropriate. How did they stop the blades from rotating? Some kinds of jamming or dead stop braking devices? What if there is sudden strong gust of wind? Can the stopping devices or mechanisms prevent blades from rotating. If the stopping mechanisms fail, the men are history.
Andrew Tang There is a braking mechanism inside the nacelle
Prasanth Neeraj , thank for the reply . I had guessed there is one otherwise it would not stay stationary. My concern is how safe or strong this braking mechanism is to withstand sudden change of wind velocity. These blades are very long n their rotation power is awesome when they catch the wind.
Andrew Tang Blade rpm is controlled by a controlling mechanism so it is with in the limits and it can be controlled with brakes.
Prasanth Neeraj I took a look at the video again n to my surprise at the beginning of the video, there was an ambulance on standby to prepare “just in case”, I suppose. To me , It simply means the manufacturer has no confidence of the braking mechanism.
Prasanth Neeraj thank you
I find it funny how the useless guy hanging is wearing the disposable PPE, why the guy actually doing the cleaning doesnt get it, guess whos the senior and whose the junior.
Nothing funny.. guys are risking their lives to make a living..
@@prashantmokashi2123 I wasn't talking about the job in general... I'm assuming the supervisor was a typical tool type of person.
