It depends on the package of the integrated circuit. "Older", SOIC, TSSOP or TQFP packages have legs. Newer QFN and BGA packages don't. They are smaller but very hard to work with.

Я такие микрухи вообще без флюса выпаивал, не понимал зачем он вообще нужен при выпайке. А потом понял: флюс плавится и более равномерно распределяет тепло по плате и микросхеме, нет большого перепада температур между платой, ногами микрухи и корпусом. Это я к тому, что большой расход флюса, на мой взгляд, оправдан.
@@AClockworkParrot А как же основное предназначение флюса, а именно удаление оксидной пленки? Или вы даже микросхемки с зелеными контактами выпаиваете без флюса?)

The solder blob under the chip was too much
Soldering job looks excellent! But your tip is running way to hot which is why it's going blue. I'd recommend sticking to 360c unless you really need better performance for you job.

Did you used board preheating here? Found quite hard to replace QFNs without preheating at bottom on thick PCBs only with hot air.
There is never too much flux :)
I preheat always for few minutes before i focus the heat on one spot
@@f1lab535 i had a no lead mosfet near electrolytic caps that are smd so i cant remove them without fear of damage, how would you keep them from popping?
Enough solder left just to put another one on with flux paste

I think you are taking about the small yellow and black dots, they are viers that penetrate the pcb and go to another layer
Hi,what are you using to remove that IC so easily. I normally use a hot air gun but it is not that easy.it takes time to remove.

Are you using a preheater? Because I can't unsolder.
I pre heat the board with hot air for about 3-5 minutes slowly before focusing the heat on one spot

You need to practice to find the best temperatures, its different from board to board, its also about timing, you can use 600c and must be very quick and precise, or you can go gently with 350c and the time will change, but like i said some boards will not resist high temperatures, and preheating is a must always

You are using to much flux and You put it on chip. Why? There is no pins!!! You should to put it on the chips bottom.
I dont remember the temperature but usually i dont go above 400c, and use alot of flux to avoid the pcb being burned, so i always clean the used flux
