I mean, I think only certain roles benefit from the judge usage. Such as Cyphers, controller mains, Neon, and Raze mains. It doesn't suit every play style or agent. Like how the OP does. I think the judge is fine where its at.

I think the Judge accually is balanced. It is pretty strong on close range for sure but on long range its just useless. Thats the point similar to the shorty its a shotgun with insane close range potential

The thing is, you can basically force close range fights with a lot of utility, but there is no utility outside iso ult that can force long range fights.

the point he makes at the end is what matters though. the maps are designed to have 2-5 chokepoints. because of the way they design maps the range of the judge doesn't matter, on defence you just camp a choke and reliably get 2-3 as they come out.

I might not have any research or anything and not be as experienced as you, but I think you so wrong.
I've played with the new Judge, even when I was literally touching the enemies body with my aim covering him, I shot 2 and didn't even took 100 damage.
Maybe I was moving a bit and didn't realize, but that happened to me like 3 times already. Getting kills with the judge before getting Headshot is way too hard now that one can't walk and shoot. Honestly, I prefer walk and shoot with a vandal or a phantom than with the judge, I can tell you that.
And It feels like your first shot it's precise but if you just hold, your second shot will be so spread that doesn't matter where the enemy is, you are not gonna get more than 2 bullets on him.
With that said, I mean that yes, maybe if you sit down and shoot you can get one kill with the judge, but if there is 2 players, you are not be able to easily get 2 kills with it, even if both are in an extreme short distance.

I think the way to approach balancing the judge is adding a delay to shooting after clicking, similar to the counter strike recolver. They can bring the other stats back to previous, maybe even buff it.
That way ,it can be easily countered by highly skilled players, but it still remains a massive threat if you don't clear it properly.
