Sorry. You miss the basic point and so do the fellows sitting in SC. SC is NOT THE Executive. They are a Judicial body. But they like at all moments try to act as the Executive. An example - these fellows suspended the Farm Laws. They have no such Power. Set up a commission. Did not have the guts to make the Report public. Because the Report that there was no wrong! So incompetent fellows try to administer and leave the mess everywhere. See Shaheen Bagh. The road blockage continued for a year and a half, putting millions of citizens in hardship but no action - actually where needed. So these are vicious political tigers out for self glorification. Same for Manipur, but not for West Bengal.
Our judiciary, one of the best, has come back to life to save the people and the country.

These days the SC appears to be challenging the powers of the lawmakers and forgetting that they are putting the integrity of the highest courts at great risk.
Today 24.5.24 the ruling of supreme court in CEC case is totally disappointing. There is no justice for the people. They have not honoured the oath of providing justice.
Why this happened just before the election results. Sometimes can't say that Supreme Court is biased or not
So what’s the SC doing about those who were arrested under PMLA and after some time in jail applied for bail and were granted and whose trial date continues to be delayed & delayed? Many prominent names and cases are pending since 10 yrs or more!! Will the Hon SC look at how to get the accused in front of a judge or will only take up prominent petitions filed by the who’s who of Lutyens Delhi. With all due respect CJI should work on clearing the huge backlog through use of other means than a court hearing - the traditional way , which means Justice is infinitely delayed! Perhaps use of technology, culling of frivolous law suits, binding arbitration, lower courts only hearings, no easy appeal process and a combination of methods need to be brought into force asap as we are in 21st century, Hon Court is still in 19th century!

It doesn’t matter how big the case is. The leader must be of opposition party then only arrests are happening. Plus CBI conducted raid only if the companies haven’t paid in electoral bonds. Cases and charges dropped once bond payment was done. Citizens of India can clearly see this.

The legal system needs a complete overhaul. That power to make laws should remain with parliament only and not with any other body. The judiciary should work within the existing law instead of defining new laws. For needs to amend any existing law there should be a separate commission headed by president or vice president with members from legal community as well as public where a request for amending existing law can be filed and well debated by all concerned parties and agencies.
Supreme court wants to rule India. The power of SC must be curbed, the holidays to court must be less rhan other office holidays to make judiciary function effectively. Cicil casesust run faster than criminal cases. There must be lime limit for any case.
Supreme Court is violating the constitution in the garb of protecting it. The Basic structure concept is a fraud on the constitution.

One issue has been conveniently overlooked in this case is that- once a person has been questioned, he will know what actions probably will follow. If he remains free, he will try his level best to hide the trail and evidence and will make work of ED enormously difficult and almost impossible to further investigate. It will also encourage people not to cooperate and to say “I don’t know, I don’t remember, I forgot etc” because custodial interrogation will not follow. If the court wanted civil liberty then they should also ensure that justice is delivered. If arrest is not to be made then suppression and destruction of evidence under PMLA should be treated as a very serious offence and must attract severe punishment. Otherwise this judgment will be nothing but “Protection of Money Launderers Act”.

It would be beneficial if the Supreme Court were to initiate a suo moto judicial review, thereby nullifying any provisions in the PMLA that are deemed unconstitutional. This action, taken in the interest of the public, could serve as a deterrent against any form of misuse by the Enforcement Directorate. Individuals who have suffered due to the misuse of legislative power should be granted compensation, based on the principles of strict liability and with highly simplified procedure, without going to any court of law.

Not always. Judges are too human...They have their preferences and find appropriate excuses..The Bitcoin judgement, Kejriwal judgement, Nupur Sharma judgement, Teesta Setlvad bail, National herald case, Sabarimala case are all evidence of misapplication of judicial powers.

supreme court is a private court meant only for Politicians and VVIPs but not for common public because supreme court treats common public as a beggar but not as a justice seeker and judges just trashes the litigants and their cases so arrogantly so instantly without even hearing their single pleading on the gravest and heinous nature of crime/litigation in their cases and their lives & liberties are in danger and for such kind of dismissing of cases the case and litigant has to wait for years of time for cause listing but for politicians even in midnight the case is filed, defect cleared and morning hearing starts until the case disposal with favourable orders so supreme court time is spent only for politicians but for common man no time and no hearing and stratight dismissal of case because common man has become a beggar; This kind of supreme court is very typical in the entire world.

SC can't restrict ED powers. Power is given by the government. Court drama with Singhvi never ends. SC in big critics on Kejirival corruption bail grant. It will never happen to ordinary citizens' bail.

ED doesn't have a right to arrest under PMLA. Only Kejri and Singhvi have that right because one is a CM and the other is a very expensive honorable SC attorney.
Why ED only investigating and arresting the opposition, they should also investigate and arrest ruling BJP as well. ED should be a independence body they should not serve any political party. How will the people respect law if the law maker themselves break law.
