  • NOTE: I was talking to the supervisors and the person towing the bus, and they said it was OK for me to record the bus getting ready to get towed.
Bus 4052 was doing a trip on the Q110 to Belmont Park when the operator ran the red light and crashed into an oncoming truck. We don’t know what happened to the operator, if he/she fell asleep while operating, they got distracted, or they suffered a medical episode. I hope he/she is doing alright, and I wish the best for them🙏

In CA we usually put them on flatbeds. Except the trailer bus used on the Silver streak it's too long it used long heavy wreckers

Hope everyone on board is okay...although that driver's job is now in jeopardy, running a red light like that (I assume thats what happened since the car next to it was stopped at the light) is taken extremely seriously by the MTA...

It is unknown if it’s going to get fixed, but I’m guessing it’s going to get retired

@@ExPertNicks Logical to retire it as it didn't have much life left in it

@@Jaypro128It is retired and it is currently sitting at Baisley Park Depot and is being used for parts.

@@ExPertNicksThe replacements (2023-2024 Nova LFS's and New Flyer XD40s) are currently being delivered. No sense in repairing this bus when it would likely end up being one of the last few in service should it return. The 2008-2010 Orion 7.501 Next Generation Hybrids will be gone after 2024 (unless the new XE40s on NYCTA side start having teething issues).

Generally if the frame is warped or bent and the bus is due for retirement, most likely it will
