I remember when this game came out, it was a cool summer morning, I just awoken from a elegant slumber, there I was eating my Fruity Pebbles watching my favorite show, American Guy. When I get an add for a new game, American Dad: The Video Game, I knew that I had to use all my pocket money I've been saving up for a new flesh light, but I knew I needed this, and so I took my 2002 Ford F-150 to my neareast Game Stop, and searched for the game. Now I got this game on the Game Cube, and I loved it, every minute of it, but before I could fight the finale boss as I had lost the game. It brings a tear to my eye that this game has gotten so much fame over the years.
This is the most legendary shitpost of all time

I'm really glad the community has seen more support. I remember watching my older brother play this game before I even knew what a Gamecube was! He always struggled driving to the CIA building though. I can't believe that people have dedicated their time and effort into such a wonderful game! My first playthrough alone taught me that if you stick to what you believe in, you will become exactly what you see in the mirror. This art takes courage, dedication, and true spirit. Thank you for such an informative compilation of the greats. Maybe someday, we will all come together and say, "Good morning, USA!"

I just discovered that you could skip the entire intro level by pressing the start button at the beginning.
That's already been figured out, the rules for all intro categories is no start button so they can't automatically skip it and have to play through it.
@@genomicbeast start is allowed for gc speedruns, since that's the only way to get the rught framepauses. Gc doesnt have skip cutscene anyways, so it's not risky.

I read somewhere that if you make the inputs "up up down down left right left right b a start" with frame perfect inputs and only half an "a" press, a time portal opens that takes you to immediately before you start up the game and plays the credits, therefore making the run possible with negative time.

I was 12 when this game came out. I remember watching play throughs on CZcams forever because my dad wouldn't get me such a violent game, then Christmas came and I received it as a gift, the joy that game brought me is insurmountable to anything else in my life. Maybe it just the nostalgia but hearing the game opening and hearing him say "good morning U.S.A" made me feel like it was truly going to be a wonderful day. God bless those brave speed runners.

The way it's worded makes it sound like it wasn't even programmed in, It just happened because of the art style.

*NEW WORLD RECORD METHOD!*
1. Use the japaneese version (not patched)
2. Since the intro begins by showing the flag we can try to manipulate Stan to spawn to the flag rather than his home, that way the cutscene would automatically end as soon as Stan enters the cutscene off screen ending it off at an outstanding 0:00:509 seconds.
3. To do this we need to overflow the games maximum input limit, to do this we need to give it as many inputs as humanly possible in one sitting, (what I do is press every button on my controller at once to easily overflow the game) this is why we use the japaneese version because the game is more optimized in the US and PAL versions.
4. Finally after that, the game can't handle the game overflowing so to reduce space they unload parts of the map which includes Stan's house, the very place he spawns in. So in doing that the game doesnt know where to put hum so the game defaults to putting him at coordinates 0,0. And guess where the flag is located at, you guessed it 0,0. So by unloading the map of stans house you pretty much spawned at the ending of the intro which will clock in at a time of 0:00:509 (TAS). I was able to get 0:00:986. However I dont think its humanly possible to get that time any further down.
FAQ:
Q: "Isn't the beginning of the intro the first flag at the house not the second flag?"
A: Well through further data mining the flag seen at the beginning of the intro is actually the second flag at the end of the intro. How this us done is that since stand spawn location is to his house the map is still unloaded until the flag from the beginning of the intro goes off screen. Due to how the camera is used the transition is seamless and thus makes the misconception of mistaking the first flag as the last flag.
Q: Why do speed runners/ TASes used multiple inputs and the game doesn't overflow?
A: Well since the game is already running it can handle all those inputs because the map in where the city is, is unloaded and only stans house is loaded meaning that the game can handle more inputs even with the Japanese version, but since the inputs can be used to manipulate stans position it shouldn't have a problem handling the inputs anyway.
Q: Why wasn't this method discovered before?
A: most if not all speed runners/TASers think that you can't move Stan until he leaves his bed. That's not true sort of. Internally the game if taking all of your inputs of the controller the only thing is that it doesn't do is the actual actions and thus people belived the game didn't start until Stan leaves the bed. Which is why this method is not manipulation stans position but where Stan is spawned.
Basically what I'm saying is all you have to do is press every button on your controller as soon as the intro starts to get a mindbogling world record. Its probanly the easiest method out there.

I just realized something while I was in quarentine: if you move stan in his 1st frame the camera will directly teleport to the credits but stan not, he will end in the 2nd flagpole so the credits glich out and shows the credits and the american dad logo, but this only happens in the alpha of the game.
