Compared to Nvidias noise cancelling this uses way less resources e.g Nvidia noise cancelling uses about 15-30 of a 3070ti!!!!! While steelseries uses around 2-5 at MOST. Using a i7- 8700k which is still a good CPU but its still nowhere near the performance as the newer generations.
But you can use it only with Steelseries headsets/microphones. Sadly RTX noise has no AI. We cant have a good product with all features :-(

@@connostyper hm ... no. The noise canceling works only with Steelseries headsets. So its written in their own software. The EQ works fine but not the AI noise canceling. .

you guys are insane I just found this online xD It was like a hidden gem wtf thank you so much I needed this really bad I'm having like a fan on constantly, because of the heat in the summer and I was searching so much for a noise canceling software, but I couldn't find one really that is for free and unlimitted to use + really good quality. Here I am once more thank you so much! I even just see that you guys also have the boost for the volume in it. My earbuds was kinda low with the volume even on 100% and I'm having some custom settings for CZcams to stream with. Also thanks for this. I had FxSound for that, but then it doesn't work anymore so I'm using yours aswell for that. I hope that it can just run in the background just fine while gaming. Because my PC isn't the greatest anymore because of the CPU and RAM that can go to 100% usage :/

Thank you so much for this informative and funny video. The biggest issue I have with headsets are their mics being too sensitive. This video answered all my questions (already ordered headset but this vid gives me peace of mind until they show up).

How do i limit decibel on headsets(nova7x) besides turning on volume limit.
I think the effect would have been better if you used a "studio" quality mic.
I have a video on my channel with an RE320 next to a portable A/C at full blast.
W steel series. I stop using voice meeter for this. Only thing i wish was possible is play music through the mic

SteelSeries Sonar has a high-demand on the PC performance. Used on my desktop PC, it works well; used on my laptop, it produces crackling sounds for seconds when I open a webpage at the same time. The latest version of Sonar makes it difficult to route the app playing.
High demand? yeah maybe on a core 2 duo from the early 2000s.......might be time to upgrade your pc as this uses not even 1% cpu on a 12700

How do you get this to work when connected with your phone ??? Having the hardest time taking calls with a ton of background noise
how do I reset this back to off by default? having to turn it off everytime I restart is a huge hassle. The feature doesnt really work properly in high noise environment, which made the audio cuts off like static, making it impossible to hear rather than you can still hear them with noise.

I used this last summer and it was a godsent when I could for the first time talk with people online while having a fan blast me in the face at the same time and not have people tell me to get out of the hurricane. I SORELY WISH this tech would come to android devices. When using earbuds people say that cars sounds like a knife that is slicing their eardrum out.. I'd love to apply this to phone calls etc, that would be so amazing.

AMD noise supression filters it out completly and can be enabled on any mic, RTX voice is probably as good or better
okay cool why cant it all switch over to my xbox because the mic literally picks up everything ive gone into the pc and tryed to see if it switches everything ive done on sonar over to the xbox but it doesnt
mine doesnt work in my Arctis 5. I have an electric fan beside me and it still capture the noise of the fan to my mic

I've had the arctics nova pro wireless for cp and ps5 for 2 weeks now paid $450.00. I go to the gg app on my pc set everything up can have music full blast mic dosen't pick it up when I bring them over to ps5 I can barley breathe without my teammates hearing me I'm about ready to return them any suggestions?

I have this toggled on and every single movement can be heard from the headset. People i play with can literally hear if i move my feet across the floor.

Does this work when using the headset with phone over BT? Or does it rely on the Sonar software to do the AI magic?

@@Tui3694 Not so obviously. Since the Strix Go uses it's own circuitry to do the AI magic. It's really only a matter of time when competing products from SteelSeries and the like, will be able to do the same.
But I guess now is not that time.
I had a ss nova 7p and the mic was extremely sensitive compared to my hyperx cloud 2 wireless. Hyperx mic is really good cancelling noise around you like people talking. The novas and turtle beach microphones are terrible they're extremely sensitive.

What this Headset call?
First hand use of this, it does NOT preform like this. It's either set high enough that I cut in and out myself to rid of the background noise, or it just continues to pick up background sounds.

As much as i love this AI Noise cancelation feature. Sadly it is ARCTIS NOVA PRO EXCLUSIVE only and not all steelseries headsets. 😥
it is available for almost all the nova line and Arena and now Arctis 7+ as well

Just tried this and it doesn't work. When enabling it nothing changes and I can still hear white noise from my PC fans coming through sidetone.

Probably on very old CPU's yes. I've noticed up to 5% CPU usage in a discord voice channel but 5% is nothing for something as modest as my i5-10400.

Can you activate the noise cancelleation AI and will it work on PS5?
no, it's actually enhances background noises when you start talking, so at first your voice will be clear, but after some time, other in voice party will hear more background noise than yours. I have nova 7, tried everything, but I assume that background noise cancelling works only on PC
The software is the only reason i still stick with SteelSeries. They needa redesign the headsets cause they ALWAYS brake right at that hinge. Nvidia Broadcast works Much better for noise cancellation
I don't use Steelseries headsets but I've been using their Sonar software for over 6 months now with a Coolermaster MH752 and it's hard to go back now. Being able to EASILY set chat volume and game volume to different devices is a godsend. I also use the microphone equalizer to make further improvements.

Don’t get a wireless headset, wireless headphones microphones can’t sound that great because of Bluetooth limitations
@@Abztract check the corsair hs80 wireless mic, the mic quality of that headset is superb. And as for the wireless mic from arctis line up, you can tweak the equalizer to get your preferred mic quality.

This wont fix my insanely oversensitive mic on my new arctic 7+ headsets. No matter what settings I change in sonar or in the engine itself changes nothing. My mic picks up wind gust in trees that are 50 meters away from my window thats slightly open. It picks up every breath I take and "just lower mic volume" doesn't do the trick. Anyone that can help?
Get yourself a better headset I use a hyperx cloud 2 wireless and the mic is extremely good with noise cancelling compared to the nova 7p or TB stealth 700max.
You probably didn't set the input microphone to sonar in whatever app your using and I bet its still set to your default microphone.

No. Krisp is garbage, the AI noise cancellation you get from Sonar is actually crazy.

But only on pc! beacuse my brother's both have the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless on ps5 and that mic picks up every fucking noise and can't even hear the game beacuse of how noisy it is. SteelSeries should make a app for the phones too.
This doesn't work. Laughter isn't picked up with it enabled, it creates a strange phenomenon where you'll hear some laughter then it'll fade out. Please fix this

If that's a Steelseries mic I'm avoiding them, as it's awful sounding. I'm so confused by this app. It would be so nice if you made detailed tutorials on CZcams, not just demos like this one. I'm checking out the Frugal Streamers turtorial on this software currently, so will come back to give my opinion. 🤔Edit: Needs more mouse-over tips for everything. Also, the mixer needs to be visible as we change the microphone options so we can see the effect AS we change them.
Pretty much any wireless microphone is going to sound like that, because of Bluetooth limitations but honestly it’s good and you can clearly hear what he is saying

Yeah, but most people wont be sitting playing right next to a vacuum the whole time. The less the ai has to cancel out the better the quality you can also adjust the slider and only filter as much as needed.
From what I can tell the the "Noise Canceling" only applies to the microphone.
What about people with sensory overload to sounds. And want to drown out that same noise while wearing the headphones.

Make a pair of headphones that aid those who have sound sensitivity. Essentially an earpad that blocks out distractions and noises for a full and richer immersion.

Mic quality is atrocious though.
It's a real shame that the Nova has such a shitty microphone. I bought a $200 unit and had to hand-solder the mic from another $40 headphone (Edifier G2II) because they have a much better mic that sounds deep while the native one sounds like an old telephone.
Steelseries does the mic cancel anything out when connected to xbox series x? I must say you guys do a very poor job explaining everything in your videos
