Dan Minervini it was awesome. Will never forget the look on the kids' faces when Sid arrived. Pens tell you a player is coming, and what time, but not who. Incredible to see Sid get out of the car and walk up the driveway. The video is about half the time he was with us. He took every picture, signed everything out in front of him, answered every question and shook every hand. Just an amazing individual. Here's a guy who had, in 364 days, won two Cups and a World Championship of Hockey, was the MVP of all three, and is in my brother's back yard hanging out with my kids.

It could have been uttered in any of the provinces or territories. Same phrase, same accent. Its a companion to "How ya doin ta-day?". Real people having a great day with an earthbound legend.

Over the 50 seasons I had season tickets with my mom, I’ve met quite a few of the Pens players. While events like these are part of the job, most of the players are sincere and not fake. I’ve had several remember me from prior meetings.
Of course this was an organization idea, but man this guy can put it on and make people feel special. Hockey players really are the greatest people, but when the greatest of all time can make someone’s year like this, it’s special.
I am not sure what's the hardest, to win the cup, or to be in social situations like this.
