- We dismantled the old NEXT bike and used some of the parts to create a new custom Schwinn klunker bike... We performed surgery, sorry to all the Schwinn fans lol. This video includes rust cleaning, restoring, custom work, sanding, & repainting.
This is our first video and we are so excited for some feedback. We do plan on doing all kinds of restorations including scooters, tricycles, pedal cars, gas pumps, you name it!

Yeah doing this build was super fun, looking back there are a few things we would’ve done differently but we love the idea of klunker builds and we have created many of them prior to creating a CZcams channel. And thank you! It’d be so cool to see your build!

I've been gathering up my parts to build a clunker for some time now and now that I've got some down time while recouping from a pretty major surgery, looks like I'll finally get around to it. Been looking up other builds but some guys just go above and beyond. I'm wanting to keep it clean, simple and budget friendly.
Yeah, I think some people definitely make something super cool but do put so much into their builds. We do something that’s budget friendly with hopes that it’s functional haha! We’d definitely love to see your Klunker when it’s finished!
@@J23Restorations I spent yesterday with white vinegar and steel wool to polish the rust off my rims. I'm doing a cheap Kent 26" single speed coaster. Got one rim all primered and first base coat. The 2nd isn't quite there yet. Tires will be here next week. I'm not too tech savvy but I will be trying to at least do a slide show of images and try to make a clip. If I'm able to, I'll post the link in comments.
What are you using to remove rust?
