This exactly what Taemin wanted with this song. He explained in Knowing Brothers that he wanted to fans to made their own dance to express their self, no necessary a cover of his dance and I think this cutie Ji Min did it really well! He is an amazing dancing!✨✨

I don't think there are many who can do justice in relation to Taemin's art. This is done very well! I'm impressed. Taemin is a hard act for anyone to follow as he is on a whole other level. He did a great job on this cover and that's not an opinion I hand out lightly.
His dancing, though?! Like, wtf, I'm really sounding like an annoying teenage girl right now, but wtf?? His dancing threw me away, like, there's something otherworldly about his type of dance that I haven't seen in others. He manages to portray so much emotion through his movement, I caught myself holding my breath! His dancing is astounding, hope to see him debut in the future (if he hasn’t already) with more supported vocals. He has a good base, just gotta build on it 😊

As a Taemin stan I gotta say that Taemin definitely has his own flow and style, but also that we shouldn’t compare a trainee to someone with his level of experience. Jimin did amazingly well with this, however, and it’s super cool to see this kind of dance done so well by a trainee!
You don't see many dance covers of this song at all, and when you do its always underwhelming because we always go into it with expectations set by the king of dance himself. Although I think he could pull off the original choreography as well, this guy made it his own. He broke free from expectations and delivered a similar style of dance in his own way. I'm recalling how Taemin said he wanted to make this a trend and a form of self-expression. He would be so proud to see this!

I get what you are saying and as a fan I think this rendition is beautiful and Taemin would love it but you need to understand the standard for Korean idols is extremely high. This is why Taemin is Taemin. This performance is not up to Korean standards and the critics were harsh but that's what is needed. Not everyone can make it in kpop.

I looked in the comments before I watched this and everyone was comparing him with taemin saying that taemin was way better and ji min wasn’t even close so I expected this performance to be quite bad but omg it was amazing, his dancing style reminds me so much of taemin’s and his voice was beautiful and his body moved so well with the beat. I have no idea why people would hating on him so much, sure, there’s only one taemin and no one can ever replace him but this dude is a damn trainee and is already this talented?
