  • My external hard drive died, At least I think it did. I haven't given up hope on it yet. Anyways while it's "dead". I have limited clips, which is making it impossible to do videos I want to do. One movie that happened to be on my computer is Gone With The Wind and I figured it's been a while since I did a video with it, that I might as well.
So here is a Gone With The Wind video using the song Rolling In The Deep by Adele.
Please hope that my external Hard drive decides to work!!!

Rhett was *everything!* How Scarlett could want limp-wristed Ashley after seeing him boggles the mind. Rhett was her match in every way. He *saw* her. Really *saw* her.

After finishing Gone With The Wind, I was so distressed I had to think up an alternate ending. And I came up with an idea; I think Gone With The Wind should have had a 64th chapter, in which it (the entire nightmare that was the last third of the book) was simply a very enlightening, very frightening bad dream and Scarlett wakes up the morning after the staircase scene. Armed with the knowledge of her pregnancy, Rhett's love, Bonnie's danger of death by horse and Melanie's suicidal yearning for another baby, she should be prepared to go collect Rhett from Belle Watling's place and be kind but firm. And then they should have a long, adult, honest conversation, with Scarlett ignoring Rhett's baiting and telling him the honest truth. Better yet, she should've locked the door and and tossed the key out the window the night before (after Rhett had fallen asleep), but I don't blame her for being exhausted. Why did they have to stretch out their misunderstandings and stubbornness for so many pages?

Scarlett is not to be envied ! I got involved with a man with a difficult character, you can't even get along with such a big love! So stubborn and harmful, and even these constant jokes of his! He raped her after that staircase, made a baby, and then he also says that Ashley is to blame for everything!!! Well done!!! And Scarlett would have to restrain herself, turn around proudly and say that she will raise the child herself, since he does not need it, that he has shown his true love, turn around and leave!Pick up the kids like offended and go to the village , have a baby and show off , let him run after her ! Yes, it's a good idea for her to wake up on that ladder at the end and replay everything with her crazy man! And she did everything right for her, saved the children and remained happy, because she deserved it so much after going through such harsh living conditions and living with such a difficult person! Yes, she should have had a monument erected during her lifetime! Margaret was so cruel to her, and then she got hit by a car, probably it was Scarlett who took revenge on her for the unfortunate ending of her fate!!!

The beauty of GWTW is that the relationship between Rhett and Scarlett are pretty much like real relationships. People gets married out of spite, and women ofter doesn`t know how to appreaciate the good things they have. I think by the end, Rhett was really done with that marriage, he finally understood what Ashley knew since the beggining, Scarlett was nothing but trouble.

So happy you made this video with this perfect song. The first time I heard it, I thought of all the tragic couples and Gone with the Wind happens to be my favorite movie. Beautiful video!

Haha! This is awesome! This song usually annoys me- but it is totally cool put to GWTW, and your editing is really nice. Great job!

I think this video and song are so appropriate together, especially in regard to Scarlett's psyche. Even though Rhett is at fault, too, for reneging on his feelings of love toward Scarlett, I think Scarlett needs to take time out to realize that she could have had it all with Rhett but lost him in a big way. However, the book ends with many strong indications that their true love will win out because both Rhett and Scarlett need to process their grief over Bonnie's and Melanie's deaths. Also, Rhett says since Scarlett will not grant him a divorce, he will have to return to her often to keep the neighbors quiet, so, maybe, give it 6 to 10 months later, perhaps? Also, Rhett still seems to have a faint glimmer of acknowledgement for his wife's strength. He is merely emotionally exhausted and a wreck from Scarlett's childish infatuation with Ashley. He also has to process Scarlett's amazing turnaround of feelings for Rhett, and Scarlett needs to grow into the lady she always modeled herself after her mother, so the ending had to end this way with a final breakup, only to spark a new beginning for the couple. Margaret Mitchell herself stubbornly proclaimed the ending was meant to be open ended, to go either way, and, of course, I choose that Rhett and Scarlett's true love prevail. Thank you so much for this video and song choice to put the novel into perspective for me.
