The most heartbreaking moments of Arcane are the ones not even spoken of. The ones you have to self realize to understand their impact.
1. Sky is the little girl that watches over Viktor as a child playing with the boat he made in episode 6. She's had an unrequited crush on him pretty much her entire life. Marvelling at his ingenuity. Then she died to save him from the hex core that he created.
2. Vi gave Powder a blue flare saying "Where ever you are. Light this up and I'l find you" Powder has blue clouds tattooed all over her arms and body. She's always been calling out to Vi to come save her.

It's such a haunting image... and the way Mylo's ghost is screaming, yet Claggor's is not, shows how Mylo was conscious when he died, yet Claggor was at best unconscious, or had been killed instantly, from when the shrapnel took him down.

This scene in the show broke my heart. Because even after everything that happened, after Silco tried to "kill" Powder, when she hears that Vi is alive and in the Lanes, the first thing she does is find the highest point she can and fires the flare so her sister can find her
I disagree with Silco killing Powder because he let Powder more than anyone be herself. The Jinx persona happened before he look after her and the main cause was Vi actually who called Powder that right before leaving her

@@lindleya I get what you're saying but Powder herself told Vi that she created Jinx. Silco was only reinforcing the Jinx persona that she gained from her traumatic experiences.
@@wolverineheat5606 He was a loving dad, but not a good one. You should not let a child's wounds and traumas fester like he did with her. He loved her, but used her weaknesses to mold her into what we see now.
@@salem2064 I'd say Silco was good dad for Jinx but bad for Powder. Silco doesn't want Jinx to feel abandoned like he was by Vander. So he pushed Jinx to embrace her new personality to help fight her past traumatic experiences. At the expense of losing the relationships she had with Vi and Ekko.
I felt like this was the last plea from Powder.....praying her sister, the sister who loved her, who promised she would find her, would return. And while her prayer is answered her damaged mind and the poisoned words from Silco sets things on course for her descent from Powder to the madwomen Jinx. Her standing there with the flare with Mylo and Claggor's haunted forms behind her will be etched into my mind for a while...such a powerful scene.
You definitly have a point, though I don't think Silco is so bad. In a way he was the only person who actually loved her throughout all that time her sister was gone, no matter what she did, even if it hurt him, he loved her with perfect unconditional love. I think its more of a tragedy of just bad timing and unfortunate events for everyone how it all turned out.
@@ezrawhitmer1840 yeah I can see that too, and my comments on Silco are more towards the lie that Vi was only there for the stone and not Powder, which Vi didn't even know about. in the end yeah, there is so much that can be summed up to horrible timing and events outside of their control. Whichever way yah look at it, this series did such a great job at making me care for all their characters, where I wish there would be a classic happy ending, but life isn't like that.

I've seen a lot of animated shows (anime and western animation) like ATLA, Castlevania, AOT, death note, etc, but no show has had so beautiful an artstyle, raw emotions, as good a pacing, and excellent story arc as Arcane. There are no fillers, everything is constantly moving (my complaint with some of the anime styles), the facial expressions are everything, and the world building is intricate and lived in. This is my favorite animated show of all time.
Well, it's also clearly not the same budget as these other shows.
Two things. Budget and time. Japanese animators work under hellish work conditions for minimum pay.

If League wasn't a free game, I can guarantee there'd be less complaining haha. It would definitely keep out a lot of toxic players who spam new accounts after getting each new account permabanned...
I genuinely do enjoy the game, as every game is a challenge and forces me to strategize on how to win. It's especially rewarding when my team acknowledges my efforts and honors me for my gameplay. But on the other end of the spectrum, the toxicity is incredibly awful. Not the worst community I've seen (looking at Overwatch..), but still pretty bad.
While most of the community hates League, they're also the same people who are toxic and keep the game toxic.
Anyways, even if you don't like League itself, the lore is actually quite good and I think it's worth checking out (all stories are on League's website). They even have comics that expand on the universe, and they're quite good.
It might be worth tossing aside your pride in hating League to actually be able to enjoy the other parts of it, because the only thing genuinely worth hating is the community...
Riot Games has outdone themselves with the Arcane series. They have done justice to the characters, as well as the world of Runeterra, giving fans a perfect depiction of Zaun and Piltover, their contrasting appearances, their relationship with each other, and their relationship with the world around them.
At the same time, they have given us a show that even people who know nothing of League of Legends can enjoy, with no need of prior knowledge of the characters, delivering the world and explaining it a piece at a time in flawless fashion. 10/10, I am honestly shocked at the level of quality.
Every Act I felt like "Can Arcane keep this high level?" And now that Season 1 is done I still feel like that. My expectations. Where skyhigh and they still blew them away.
One of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Along with one of the greatest soundtracks I've ever heard. Along with the greatest covers by none other than Mr Kim.

Jokes aside, I love your covers. Not gonna lie, I thought the animation would be the best part about Arcane when I saw the teasers for it with the story being good at best to meh at worse but it would be something that long time league players and fans of the lore like me would appreciate especially after years of jokes and pleads of people saying Riot should just get into animation since videos like the original 'Get Jinxed' music video or cinematics like 'New Dawn'. Yet I wasn't expecting to binge-watch each act as soon as they show up and get sucked into it. It wasn't just the animation that was phenomenal, but the story-telling, the voice-acting, the music, everything engulfed me in and had me hooked in a way series hasn't in a very long time. And for a long-time league player, it was awesome seeing these characters be played out like this and gave me hope for the future. You can say what you will about Riot but you can't deny that the world they created for their MOBA has so much potential and Arcane is the best example of that. I can't wait for season 2 and I really hope that Arcane's success will inspire Riot to take more chances like this. Hell, Arcane will be for Riot what Iron Man was for Marvel and we could get the entire universe of characters explored in this way?
TLDR: Great cover from an awesome song for an amazing scene for a series that went well and beyond the expectations of even fans of the game which you really, really shouldn't play and I would recommend the card game instead.

For me, one for the most heartbreaking moments in the series was when Heimer went to the undercity. For him to understand the wrongs he did while he had the position of the chancellor was so impactful. The pain and curiosity in his eyes when he saw the condition actual people lived in was so well illustrated, these moments for me were moments of true regret, and he fact that all that happened to him and how Jayce betrayed him led to him surviving in the least likely place possible while the rest blew up was a fine touch.
Wasn't sure at first, Woodkid's vocals are so haunting and his pronunciation adds to that quality, but then the chorus hit and I realized how much this singer sounds like Jinx and I was all tears all over again. Beautiful cover!

И даже Силко который показан как антагонист, показан с чувственной человечной стороны, когда заботился о Джинкс, и даже выбрал ее а не дело всей его жизни!

I just realised the song lyrics relate heavily to Silco. As if Jinx is singing these lines directly to him, that his perfect day is gone and his world is on fire. Foreshadowing that the Undercity and Piltover will both now be consumed by chaos and war.
He's lost control of his empire, his minions, and lost control of her, his own daughter.
He will pay when his walls come tumbling down.
To be honest, I like this cover better than the original, it's perfect for my ears and has this more gut-wrenching feel that brings me back to my post-series depression.
"Guns For Hire" is one of the best songs on Arcane (2021 -), it's so beautiful to listen to this song, but even more so when it's epically orchestrated and composed by Samuel Kim and sung by Aloma Steele. Both are the perfect duo, to create the best cover of this song, which even the composer of the series himself loved. That is quite an achievement, guys.

Jinx lifting the blue smoke torch was for me my favourite scene in the show. Goosebums everytime I remember the ghost of her childhood dead friends.
This song has a meaning for me I cannot decipher, but I think is the lost of the innocence of the childhood. The original song is perfect, but this version is as perfect as the original, with the addition that if you close your eyes you can imagine Jinx singing it, which makes it even sadder. Thank you for this version

The emotion invoked in this track and the cover are amazing.
When I first heard it in Arcane I got insane chills, love when music can do that to me.
Watched this for the first time while tripping on mushrooms and it definitely had a huge impact on me. I've watched it 4 times now and it doesn't get old but if you enjoy hallucinogens I highly recommend watching it while tripping. I got a lot out of it that way, but also while watching it sober.

It broke my heart to see Jinx holding up the smoke flare. In that moment, she allowed herself to hope that she could be found. She used every shred of faith she could muster in that precious space, to call her sister and show her vulnerability… only to have no one come or even acknowledge her loneliness.
I remember being more moved by the scene of her lighting the spark of hope that her sister (if she lives) would fulfill that old promise, than the meeting itself...
To think that even though she was told that her sister died, she still chose to keep that beacon and still allow herself to use it... Not to mention her sister told her to use it only when she was in trouble... and when using it she kind of had to admit it.
It was too heavy for me.
