- This week has been an interesting one in the world of THE FINALS, with it being one of the first games to feature in Discords new "Quests" feature, which people have been pretty upset about, worrying that it's heading towards an ad-focused environment. What are your thoughts on this? I think it's fine as you can just simply turn it off, but I understand that it could go to the extremes.
It's a cool feature that helps smaller games get recognised, and players benefit getting free costmetics etc... so... win win?
Either way, we also get some new skins this week featuring contestent bundles intead of split skins across the board!

Exactly, like I said it only benefits the player and the company, I’d like to see smaller devs benefit from this too, very similar to Twitch Prime drops

1 hour later they drop a patch that shows you your progress at the end of a match lol.. I mean come on people, the game is barely 5 months old

Just saying: the combat clap for the gun skin bundles are *deploy* animations, meaning they change how you pull out your gun when you switch back to it from a gadget or special. I think it’s cool to see them finally use that animation category they had since season 1.

Famas needed a buff.. not a nerf.
Yeah I don’t think this was really a “nerf” so I didn’t make graphics for it, apparently in the notes it was because people had different recoil patterns depending on how fast they shot it. However, needs a small buff I think for sure.

I think the famas needs to deal a bit more damage, Have a better scope or have a larger mag. Cause rn you can beam people with the fcar, and the akm has a large mag. So to see it more in ranked it needs to actually have an advantage
Yeah that’s fair I think the way it is currently is like, the FCAR = Damage / Elimination focused, AKM = Shield/Util breaker & damage so where can the famas step in, maybe a mix of both if it had a larger mag yeah. I was thinking more damage at longer range because it’s a burst weapon

I feel like the discord quests are a new take on Twitch's drops, i can't see how people would be complaining about free content. Like u said THiiX.. its a skill issue ahaha
100% and it would be cool to see it rival Twitch with that as well, I’d be happy if I got free benefits in games for being a nitro subscriber or something, I feel people took this one a bit too far.
an italian pro player made a video about the finals some days ago, in that video he said that he thinks THE FINALS has ton of potential and people judging a game 4 months after his realese as a dead one is crazy. He said "no game haD keep growing after the first realese week, EVER." and he mention APEX that started with 50mln and then after a month 90% of the player left and only 2 YEARS AFTER apex became a "milestone"
Yeah exactly, people think waaaay to harsh and judge games too close to when they release, no matter what really happens, I'm enjoying the game for what it is and the time I get to play it. There are a tonne of frustrations I have with the game right now, but that doesn't mean I'm really going to completly axe the idea of playing it. Just take a break etc if you're frustrated with the gameplay, find a team etc etc. I think that this game just isn't like many others so people are having a hard time adjusting.
yeah apex was released when fortnite became stale, so that + the fact that EA paid streamers to play the game on release day made it get so much hype in the begining

I think they shouldve delayed the ranked update to season 3 entirely. They have done soo much in season 1: anti cheat, balancing, content, tons of cosmetics, custom games etc and I think because of doing so much at once, they didnt manage to finish all of that in just 3 months. (Also why is cheating suddenly such a huge issue in ranked again? I see at least 3 cheaters per day)
Yeah I agree but it’s difficult balancing all of them together right? Because I think we can agree if they kept ranked the same BUT improved the solo queue experience we would be quite happy, it was a huge risk changing the algorithm or whatever and removing fame points for “an improved indication of skill” I love these devs but they make it really hard on themselves changing these things half-complete and pushing it. I hope they get it in a state soon that they are happy with.

when I introduced my cousin to the finals it put us in a match with a light that was one tapping heavy's with the sword. I hadn't seen a hacker in my entire time playing the game and then the one game I introduce someone to the game there's a hacker

The combat clap thing is a customization for the equip animation. Its more just a bonus added on to the bundle.
Another solid upload THiiX, wanted to get your thoughts on Quick Cash vs. Cashout here or maybe in a future video? In this one you mentioned you showed a new player Quick Cash first. With the removal of Unranked Tourneys, do you think they should replace Quick Cash with Cashout next? I hope so, because I think Quick Cash was always unbalanced due to the constant third-partying of 3v3v3 on one objective, randomly deciding who gets 2nd or 3rd, and the naming confuses new players on what the core mode is in The Finals: Cashout in Tournaments. I also believe this will improve the solo queue experience in Ranked long term. Part of the reason you get teammates that just send it and die at lower ranks is because they're used to Quick Cash with unlimited respawn coins, don't know about the cash penalty for team wipes, and don't understand the strategy behind adapting to push multiple Vaults or Cashouts. The Single-Round Tourney format in Cashout teaches the basics of the game, better prepares new players for Ranked Tourneys and serves as a warm-up for existing players, while still being a fun casual mode for Quick Play. Lastly, it will declutter the Quick Play tab because they already moved Quick Cash to the 4th option and intended to vault Bank It, but I'm glad they went back on that since Bank It is a unique mode.
Yeah I think that's a fair point. I will say that I do sometimes play cashout, just because it's good pracitse VS teams in a 3v3v3 environment. However, if I saw that the queue times were increasing then yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing cashout go to fill in the slots of what should be matches for quick cash - which I do think is a good introduction for a player before they start experiancing ranked play. I think that right now the quick cash gamemode can be pretty sweaty sometimes, which sucks because I like running a revolver for example etc, but yeah seeing unranked tournaments go was a bit of a suprise, as it's good practise instead of quick cash, especially when ranked tournaments are in the state they are in.

Anyways for those wondering thats the animation for switching to that weapon, like there are separate reload and inspect animation and there is also an animation for switching to your weapon
The thing you can’t figure out is a reload animation and they are bugged and have been for a while
The balances to the famas was actually a buff it made the recoil more consistent no matter how fast you spammed the burst basically…

I regret dropping apex legends season 4 - 7 missing some of the best skins, I’m glad that the most of the skins release just get adds to the inventory pool at the end of season but remembering how I didn’t finish any of the first 3 bps in apex made me really crush the finals first battlepass in 18 days left only at lvl 32 on it, want this game to prosper so hard man it’s just too fun

Its decent, I get more kills with it than other guns most of the time. its a poke damage gun not a direct 1v1 in the open
Haha it’s not weird :D I think if you come from a history of games where you’re used to burst weapons, it’s not so bad in this game, I just think there’s better options. It is satisfying to shoot though :)

W vid! Though I will say the FAMAS change was actually a net buff, imo. Before this patch, it felt a little inconsistent at times but now it's actually very consistent and working 100% as intended with recoil. On paper, it appears as a nerf, in practical use imo, it's a buff.

The players will complain about the ads for this game on twitch but it can get this game out to so many more people so I think it’s worth it. After all Nexon did say that they will increase marketing for the finals
Yeah for sure, I also think that I've had the pleasure of asking new players about this game, most of them heard of it through creators like Shroud, some never heard of it before, so yeah I'm not sure about the methods they are using to do it, they must know things we dont haha
Season 2 is better than season 1, and I'm so glad the devs are trying new things with the discord stuff, even if it can be annoying. Even if season 3 isn't quite there, i know it will be a step forward and we'll keep trying to make it to the finals

Famas is great, but desperately needs a damage buff to compete with the FCAR or AKM.
New rank system is completely broken, so if you lose the first round, you go down by one tick, all other outcomes gives you 1-3 ticks, it means per tournament win, you rank up, like????
To go out in the first round should be equal to winning the tournament in good and bad, so if you lose first round, you should go down by 3, if you go out second round, you should go down by 1, and then if you win you go up by 3, and if you go to semi you go up by 1.
Now it’s like okay let us cheese one qualification and then we slowly ranking up no matter how bad you are at the game, this will just make it even more misleading when bad players end up in mid plat

@@THiiXY exactly, promoting and advertising has been the most effective way to get more people to get your product. Why not advertise a game with a interactive quest to get interaction on a platform that holds most of the communication amongst gamers therefore one of the biggest platform of gamers, honestly the bundle says it all; if you get angry over ads, that's just a "skill issue" to fix my typo from og comment, watching*
I see it as a positive thing. Embark is advertising the game which good. We wanna see the game grow, a lot of people do. I think it's weird if players are gonna be mad about this

Yeah it does divide the communities in some ways, that’s for sure. But I guess it’s all business and promotional right… like the whole “play three days earlier” stuff in certain consoles… I do think though for some good news to you, that Xbox exclusives will be coming soon!
@@THiiXY I just dislike how people play it out. I mentioned on discord about wanting some items for xbox and I'm greeted with aggression, name calling, and then the eventual "it was just a joke" after my point obviously hit home.
I had one individual attack me saying "why do you want exclusives just for xbox, so you have something we don't"....I just don't understand peoples thought processes sometimes....

Your comments about The finals missing polish. You might be missing some perspective from other games. I main Rainbow six Siege, it's been out for 9 years. I recently introduced someone to the game, I invited them to my party and they got a popup "press x to accept invite". That doesn't work. Everyone who plays siege knows it doesn't work but just accepts the state of the game together with a ton of other issues.
What needs to be the PlayStation bundle is the skill issue skin. please, embark
Yeah I think consoles don’t have access to sharing their screen on Discord right? That’s kind of a shame but you guys did have two bundles exclusive which some of us missed out on :(

Yeah I’m torn on the whole “exclusive” thing, I mean it’s business at the end of the day but some of you can’t stream on console Discord so you HAVE to get a PC just for a quest, pretty difficult. On the other hand you’ve gotten two exclusive bundles already where Xbox hasn’t.

I love the famas now. I'm getting around 15 elims on average now. Before I'd use revolver or the 1887 and I'd get like 8 at most or something.
Yeah fair, I actually really like the 1887 but I'll probably practise more with the famas to get used to it a little before I fully decide.

Yeah I understand that, I think it’s pretty 50/50 with how companies do things, some roll out new content randomly mid season, others do it this way where they have a “big release” or so

Ive had a break from the finals recently, but last time i used it it was fun, but still not better than the fcar, and there was no reason to use it over the fcar.
Hope you find the want to return to the game soon! And yeah I think I'll probably just use the famas for casual games, I think ranked FCAR/AKM is pretty good but maybe I'll practise with it more to see

100% I kinda liked that, and I actually thought that it was going to be more of a Tekken style if that makes sense, a very wierd way of a ranked system, but THE FINALS isn't like other games (in that sense) so yeah, let's see what they have for Season 3, I think we are getting closer to a good scenario, but we are not there yet :(

The cheating community is definitely more prominent in the Asia server. 1 cheater after 200 games??? That is actually really good compared to 1 cheater every 20+ games here in Asia. There's definitely an improvement from Season 1, when it was more like 1 cheater every 10+ games. Maybe it's time I switch to the US servers...
Yeah man honestly, I play EU servers and unless these guys are using "legit cheats" (to hide them) I haven't seen an obvious cheater in a looong long time. Hopefully on your US servers you get a better experience, because yeah I hear Asia servers are bad.

When tf is Embark going to make the new guns relevant? I dont see anybody in my lobbies using the new guns its just the same guns over and over again. kinda lame, was really looking forward to these guns switching things up from the stale/unfun season1 meta.
Yeah that's what I mentioned, sometimes in casual matches I see people using the new weapons but in ranked it's mainly; FCAR, Lewis/Shotgun, XP-54/M11 lol
Honestly they need to release more weapons instead of just every season i say new weapons for beginning of a season then mid season

Can't get the reward becouse I'm playing on Xbox. Can't get the reward on mobile phone app. Startet to login on PC and don't have an pc with windows 10 you needing because you have to install the discord desktop app that is only availibel on win 10 or higher. What a mess...
Yeah I think it’s secretly a “PC exclusive” right? Which is kind of a shame because you’ve missed out on PlayStation exclusives too… I do think the good news is that Xbox will be getting exclusives soon though. But yeah I’m on the fence with all the “exclusive” stuff.

Yeah it's a shame :( I'm kinda 50/50 with these exclusive skins, like I know it's a business at the end of the day, but if you as a player can't get what someone else has because of a platform, that does kinda suck. I know PS5 has gotten two bundles already exclusive, but hopefully soon if you're on Xbox you'll also get exclusive collections soon too :)

Yeah I said this before where they won’t be able to release crazy insane skins every week, but maybe do a “big release” every two weeks or so, so then people don’t have high expectations, I don’t mind it the way it is now personally but yeah that inspect is pretty weird I think it’s bugged haha
I have a skill issue with tracking people left and right with the iron sights on the famas
Yeah I think this is also why a lot of people prefer the FCAR and XP-54 too, because of the sights being much easier to target opponents.

Yeah honestly I have no idea lol, I hear that others are having it worse, but I will say that I'm counting obvious cheaters, sure now and then I've come against someone that's pretty damn good aim, maybe they're hiding it or something but I don't call them "cheaters" because I assume they are just better than me

TBH, the only thing that I really care about it anti-cheat. It's totally out of control. My experience is completely the opposite of yours; I see people blatantly cheating in most matches. That's just the blatant ones.
Oh and player count unfortunately does mean something. The player experience will only get worse as more people leave. I've been gaming for long enough to see the pattern and I know how this plays out. Comparing it to DayZ is disconcerting, as that game is dreadful - and ironically, cheaters helped destroy it.
I mean DayZ has literally made a huge comeback, but it’s not because of the official servers, it’s mainly because the community servers saved it in my opinion, could have a similar outcome with CS2’s cheater problem, where people are moving over to esportal etc. it seems like communities right now are saving these games, somehow could move over with THE FINALS but there isn’t that support right now. I agree with you though in the anti-cheat side 100% I think I’m just getting lucky and I know the Asia server are apparently fried because of cheats. I just notice the obvious ones and hadn’t had anyone obvious until recent as explained.
Thank god they are updating ranked like it’s a mode that exists in oce
