About me - I'm Claire and I'm in my early 40s, I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / incence. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am extremely averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that at have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery in indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays, Zoologist and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

I’ve been looking at these Jean Patou fragrances but on Aussie ebay they are about $200 plus shipping so, I wasn’t prepared to blind buy. I did note that they were much better priced in the UK!
Love Gardenia. I’m really loving Chanel fragrances at the moment. ❤ I do love Blondine, it’s very wearable. A Fuego Lento is just beautiful and so sensual. Thanks for sharing Claire, especially as you were running out of steam, sorry I missed it live.

Oh, sad I missed the live but very much enjoyed watching this on catch up. I've just tried Rabbit and was surprised by how much I liked it! And Frassai are high on my try list (they have quite a few vegan ones) so it was fun to hear your take! xx

I recently sampled Frassaï, I like Blondine, Victoria and El Descanso a lot, Fuego lento and the Verano one are too Jasmin-sharp to me, Tian di too tart. I'm quite excited to try their soon to be released Dormir al sol!

Bummer! I missed a live - my favorite lives are with you, and everyone in the chat. A couple thoughts…. Viole Nere has enough violet to keep me returning to my sample but also a soggy brown lettuce type feel that I can’t seem to reframe in my mind enough to make it a buy for me. It’s intriguing, well made, and I do love violet, so who knows - I may come around to liking it. Secondly, why can’t perfumers create a Rabbit perfume that isn’t gourmand? I was really hoping at least Zoologist could design one more musky, warm cat fur kind of thing with maybe a sweet powdery note and add a green floral. Sigh. Thanks Claire! 😊
