Over the years they've proved to be superior to certain other Terriers, i.e. your black Patterdale type, lakeland's etc.However, there is of course good and bad in breed types, also, just as there is in people. Just look nat all the old otter hunting photographs and the Russell's in the pictures?🤔🤔🤔🤔Give myself a good Russell any day then a very close second a Border Terrier of course.
@Bert Trueman There's a difference between controlling and killing an innocent animal trying to survive. They are loving creatures. How about catch them in a way that doesnt harm them and create a space where they can be taken care of since farmers are taking over their habitats. Human beings are the only beings that hunt for fun.

Im not trying to make a problem but are the rules different in Wales and England to Scotland for hunting. I always read that digging foxes was only legal for protection of game birds.

I can and will give them a few tips how to make a horse move away from a person, but only to defend themselves. Didn't you see how these cowards are using their horses as weapons. If you do that somewhere else, the people would come out of the cars and pull you off your horses. Leave Mr alone, go on somebody else's nerves.
