    I grew up in this life but we didn't use bells or air horns during my time ... makes me mad tbh. We would certainly cheer and woot woot! for our faves but never that amount of noise. More than a few handlers in this video need to learn how to be proper handlers. The horses disposition in the ring tells me what is happening at home in the barns, when the audience isn't looking ... Can't deny it, I saw it my whole life growing up for 15 years.

    @gmwwc Před 11 lety +1

    The artificial stimulation does nothing for their beauty. I would much rather see a calm confident horse that clearly adores it's handler.

    no wonder so many people think Arabians are so hot and hair brained- the owners make them neurotic!! lol BUT there are some beautiful and lovely horses- just wish they would show the more loyal and smart side of the Arabian horse. (not the neurotic side)

    At what age are they considered senior males? How I love Palatino, Al Fakhir, beautiful Marquis Cahr and Marajj. (Marquis Cahr) the winner , Marajj perfect markings,
    Lva Maximus has such unique markings, Al Shariff is beautiful, Poganin nice and he got right into his pose. I would have been honored to own any of them.

    If I had to sit in that audience, I would lose my mind. The unnecessary noise generated by spectators is ridiculous. Do people ever consider the horses and what this stress does to them? Exciting you say? In what way? Does the noise make the horses perform better? Don't you think that presenting them on a loose line without stomping, clapping, and loud, obnoxious air horns would be bette? Do the people making all the noise actually think that the judge will place their horses higher because they're making more noise? Until halter classes take into consideration the well being of the horse, they're nothing but theatrical forms of human domination. Perhaps horse shows could adopt the decorum of professional tennis matches. A quiet, well-mannered horse is much easier to scrutinize for flaws, etc. than one who can't stand still and looks like he'll jump out of his skin at any moment. And I'm quite disappointed with several of those popular trainers and the way their horse's body language gives away what happens to them behind the barn. Very sad!

    What the "show" world has done to the Arabian. I was raised by one during my teen years. He could do ANYTHING! What bothers me in this video is that the stallions seem to anticipate being hit on the head and or reprimanded when standing for the judges.
    Under saddle they are now trained to look like Saddlebreds. Sad

  • @anniedalton4435
    @anniedalton4435 Před 7 lety +1

    MUSIC IS WAY TOO LOUD. THE ANIMAL SEEMS TO BE DISSATIFIED OR SOMETHING WITH IT. YOU NEED CALMNESS WITH AN ARABIAN HORSE.... NOT MORE TENSION AND UPSET.

    • @timtam6906
      @timtam6906 Před 7 lety +1

      you need calmness with any horse

  • @Synexin
    @Synexin Před 10 lety

    The noise is on purpose. The people want to see an arabian stallion with fire, one with a wild spirit. More noise gets the stallions riled up, making them more fiery and spirited.

  • @LambsLuv
    @LambsLuv Před 11 lety +2

    Too much noise from the the stupid onlookers. The horses are already having to deal with the stress of being shown by these handlers. Pity! If the horses' head gets any more 'typey' dish face looking, they'll start looking like aliens.

      +FolkandTrad SERIOSLY!! I actually saw some very soft and well behaved animals- GIVEN the noise and bs they had to endure- they were actually pretty well behaved.

    • @michelleturner6865
      @michelleturner6865 Před 6 lety

      FolkandTrad they are doing exactly what is asked. Showing spirit and fire. They aren’t brain dead QHs They know how to behave. It’s controlled exuberance. I’ve been to many Arab shows. It’s a show. The horse knows it. He walks back to his stall and eats when he’s done. Turns on when asked. Remember this is the only breed that children show and ride stallions. They aren’t crazy just the opposite.
