Congratulations on passing! 🎉 When I'm spiraling I've found that taking a few minutes to focus on my breathing and meditate really helps me slow down my mental chatter. Taking a break for a quick shower to set yourself straight was a great idea. I admire you for sticking with the grind and pushing through, I know how hard that shit can be.
