def gonna pick this one up, I LOVED the mad tanto.
I grabbed up the invictus on release day. The knife is ALMOST perfect. Blade was nice and centered, super sharp for a blade straight from factory but the detent was a bit weak and the button lock was extremely sticky. Took the entire blade apart, cleaned it then applied nano oil to all metal on metal points and then proceeded to fidget with the knife for a good hour or so which ended up being exactly what the doctor had prescribed! Now she's smooth as butter and after tightening the pivot screw it flicks open with authority now!
I like this one. Good review. Thanks
Nice one! I own the Mad Tanto, which is the previous Kizer and Damned Designs collaboration. Basically the same knife, but with a Tanto blade. They both have great ergos and are great slicers!
You're right it's basically the exact same thing knife.
Love the Mad T!
Mad Tanto was a hit last year. I loved that one but this one got this blade. I think it's time Kizer make more variations of a Damned Design. I just dig how the Mad Tanto felt in my hand. This one is on it's way to me, I'll get it early next week.
Hey MC! Have you seen the AD20i? Just ordered one! It’s a full size production AD20 for $425
Kizer is an awesome company. Now awesome and affordable for the most part .
Looks like some TRM inspired blade shape and grind…i like it
The Invictus is an already existing DD linerlock model. Its kinda weird that they had Kizer do a buttonlock version, but whatever. Ive always been a Damned Designs fan.
Damn! Thats a good design!
His old OEM was Kubey. Their old filler tab was metal.
Good looking knife
It looks like a big brother to the Civivi Altus that I own
Wrong place but is there an update on your own personal design coming out?
Kizer makes great knives. My only disappointment is the Kobold 2.0. The front flipper you have to do it slowwwwwww or it won’t open. At least on mine. I have the Towser K serape and the Towser K in FC and Elmax. Perfect knives.
I am currently rather disappointed with a Hyper I got from Amazon for $60, which I think is still on sale for that much. It's just kind of "meh". The detent is too light, so the blade always bounces back when dropping shut. Mediocre action overall. Awkward access to the thumb studs too. The packaging is killer and S35VN for $60 is nice, I guess. I just expected more.
@@Prizrak-hv6qk I got the Kobold specifically for the 4V. I planned on making ut a user because of the steel. It’s pretty. Love the steel. Love everything about it except the action.
i guess calling it the Mad drop point wouldn't have been that popular
I prefer the Mad Tanto, but...
Last time I was this early I was watching the dark horse video
Sharp
It's made by Damned Design it looks like my Mad Tanto with contour Micarta
I talked about that. It's designed* by dammed designs. Made by Kizer
Man I wish it comes in titanium
FWI knives like that are illegal in Canada. Bought a similar knife in the past and Ottawa Police confiscated it.
i want to see a knife company use T20 pivot screws AND body screws
Microtech MSI and Amphibian use a T20 for the pivot
@@carlosmiles1011 i know but i want to see really oversized body screws too, not just pivot screws.
That looks pretty bad@ss looking, where can I find it? Didn't see a link to it.
This guy just mocked half of his subscribers.😅
Been doing that since day 1. None of you are safe 😎
We wouldn't have it any other way.
@@Iowa_A_K awwww
@@metal_complex good move 👏
I’d feel slighted if he didn’t mock us from time to time.
Thanks
