So many crazy little 50s were made back in the day, would love to have something like this, those twin pipes very spicy 🌶🥵 🔥
Love the sound of this at high revs!!!
I hadn’t wandered through the workshop / storage area of this place before until the other week. Man there’s some awesome and unique bikes in there.
Me too! It's impressive whats in the middle showroom huh? So many pieces of history!
Super cool bike reminds me of my old mb5
MB5's are nice! I passed up buying one years back and always regretted it.
I love my wee RG50 Gamma. It's a NZ market one from before the restricted moped rules, so the speedo goes to 130km/hr. I've 105 showing on many occasions. Thanks for the great videos mate!
Oh wow! Thats so awesome. It is a bit weird having such a low speed on the speedo when it's capable of this. So the NZ market one would make more sense.
😮 amazing
Such a nice looking bike, funny that Walter Wolf was involved in ciggys, the bike looks like a fancy cigarette pack (in a good way!).
I'm not a smoker but I do enjoy cigarette branding on old bikes and cars.
These little bikes are so cool. I’ve got a rolling frame for one of these that I might put a fake AX100 motor in ;)
I can smell this video..
Brilliant stuff lad.
My favorite part about your bike reviews is you ride the bike how it should be ridden!
Clutch stabs, speed tucks topped with plenty of revs!
Keep up the good work
No point nursing it along when it was designed to be ridden hard! I enjoy taking these small bikes to their limits. Thanks for watching Dan!
The Anti-Dive System.
When the bike is moving and you apply the front brake, logically the front of the bike will dip, as the fork tubes goes into the slider tubes, compressing the long springs.
With the anti-dive system, the hydraulic pressure from the other brake-line that goes to the fork, closes a valve in the suspension. When that valve closes, it prevents hydraulic oil movement in the slider tubes, which in turn does not allow the fork tubes to move downwards. So there is no massive dive.
The bigger bikes used to have that unit on both forks. The unit had fins to dissipate any heat generated.

West Indies.
Amazing info. Really well written and easy for me to understand. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting. I appreciate it. My first comment from Trinidad & Tobago I think! How cool.
@@SmallBikeStuff I was riding at 17 (era of 2-strokes). I still ride every day at 67. At this age I settled for a FZ25 Yamaha. Indian-made-and-market single-cylinder 4-stroke 250cc. Just enough for a 67-year old. Our speed limit is 100kmh !
Generally, our population do not like motorcycles. We have massive traffic jams with their vehicles.
Cheers !

Awesome bike a dream at the moment.
I really love all of the 50cc 2 Strokes! So many cool offerings with that configuration.
Absolute dream machine. 5/7. Would own
I tried to take it home with me but I wasn't sneaky enough. Such an awesome bike!
impressive what a 50cc can pull out
It's definitely an impressive machine. The Honda Dream 50 4 Stroke video will be out soon. The speed difference is noticeable.
Nice. They don't make bikes like this anymore. Reminds me a lot of my NS50F I had as a kid. I wish I could ride one again someday.
All multi gear 50cc 2 strokes deserve a tonne of respect. They're amazing machines.
50cc two smoke power, nothing better. Would love to see more two stroke vids
Completely agree! 2 of the next 3 videos are 2 stroke bikes. We’ll aim to get more filmed asap.
Love the ciggy brand race rep bikes! would love to own one of them one day. Was really tempted by that larger RG walter wolf you guys had at Adrenaline a few years ago.
There are a few Walter Wolfs there now. I used to love the HB Suzuki RG250, yellow with red logos.
You just answered a question I was wondering about: who is Walter Wolf.
cheers, and thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
I must admit it was a few years of me knowing about the Walter Wolf bikes before I learned about the Walter Wolf story. Glad you could watch the video!
Seen a few videos of these lately. Man I’d love to add one to the shed.
@@SmallBikeStuff anything that you can actually rev out without breaking the speed limits is.
Had the privilege to race one of them (not Walter Wolf) in the Ohakea GP.
The Walter Wolf edition of every RG was the one to get.... a great replica that one :)
I did see a fresh imported WW 250 up for auction at Turners in Christchurch in March 1990... probably bought and sold at Eric Wood Suzuki.
Ive an rg80 in the shed .i may try and make that rear indicator cluster .it looks fkn cool

Anti brake dive from this era usually just increased the fork dampening when the front brakes are used.
Apart from the Optimistic speedo that was great
Ridden like you stole it
The sound was fantastic
I did a GPS speed check with my phone and it was doing 83KPH before I ran out of room. Definitely looks like the speedo went around more than it should but to be fair the needle was scraping against the plastic in the bottom of the cluster. 🤣
Bring back 2 stroke road bikes!
This is a cause I can get behind! More 2 strokes coming soon on Small Bike Stuff.
Great, now i have to try to find one! I had an mt50/mt5 as my only form of transport as a teenager, maybe its time i had a 2 stroke again?
Whats the go with the exhaust? Is it split from the header pipe into two chambers, surly its not a twin cylinder?
Exactly that. The first time I saw it I thought there was no way it could be useful. But it seems to pull rather hard. The chambers are around half the size each of a single pipe's chamber so in theory it makes sense.
@@SmallBikeStuff does it come on band earlier because they are smaller pipes?
Hi mate I am looking to buy one suzuki rg I will prefer a blue one in very h order condition if possible In 1990 I did have one I sold it an always regret that if you come across one please let me know thanks
A little bit modded from standard then?
Only the colour scheme has changed, and the pipe. Plus jetting to suit. Otherwise it's fairly stock. No internal engine changes.
Anyone know how to deristrict the 10hp 80cc version ?
Not myself sorry. It could have an electronic restriction? Or carb, or exhaust. The list goes on. Thanks for watching though!
The exhaust is restricted at the port end usually. Replacing with expansion pipe will work. The inlet valve is restricted also and on some bikes can be overcome easily. Usually a short via the loom. But obviously you’ve got to check the method for this bike precisely.
@@66xtopher ive managed to source a YZ85 reed block .its 40mm diameter whereas the RG80 is very small at 22mm.so ive got a 24 mm carb to try aswell but maybe ill grab a 28mm Chinese knock off just in case .ive also unbelievably got hold of a micron chamber for £60 off e bay ..

Taip CZcams jeket Walter wolf my jeket
Loved my RG50. It would pull all the way to the red line in top with the speedo moving in parallel to reach an indicated 110km/h
Awesome! I need to ride a NZ market RG that's for sure.
Ive got an 80cc version in my shed .is it going to be as quick?ive never actually been out on it @@SmallBikeStuff
