  • I made this video so friends and family can see what I've been up to. What started out as a simple chicken coop project, turned into a well fortified Chicken Fort that I would think is zombie-proof!

It's not a AK build but surprisingly entertaining.

Pretty neat chicken coop. Hope it keeps out the unwanted critters.

Foxes and coyotes will disappear chickens one at a time. Hawks and opossums will eat them right near the coop and feathers will be all around.
I've been working on a new chicken run too. Mine is going to be an overhead grape vine arbor with fence around it to keep the chickens shaded and safe from owls and hawks. The dual purpose is that I will get muscadine grapes from the same area.
Look up chicken nipples on Ebay. I have 4 nipples on the bottom of a 5 gallon pail that hangs on swing chain from a nail where I can raise and lower it according to chicken size. I use a screw on top that snaps on permanently from Lowes. For my 9 hens, I feed them from a crock pot bowl from the thrift store. Nesting boxes should be 12" square. Any bigger and the chickens want to roost in it. I have a bait box outside of the coop that has rat poison in it as the feed attracts them. Good luck with the coop and enjoy the eggs. I have a plank door on the back of the nesting boxes so I can get eggs without going into the coop.

Chicken supermax... All you need is some razor wire, some guard towers and lights. Nice job though!

Not one rivet? Every time I build an AK I watch your videos while taking a break... This was a cool addition to the channel.

Thanks for this video. I had 15 chickens and one by one they all were killed. I think coyotes and opossums did it
