- It has been quite a while, however it is time to drive some vehicles till destruction on BeamNG Drive, as i test out the Endurance Island map to see how various vehicles might survive it's challenges.

Let’s go Driven Till Destruction is back!!! One of my favourite series on the game.
LETS GOOO
YEAHHHHHHHHH HELL YEAHHHHHH
Thanks for playing my track!
I had a lot of fun making this as my first ever mod, but it definitely has some rough edges.
I play tested it a ton with the lower vehicles until you could pretty consistently get around without getting hung up, but it's not perfect. Because I tried to use a lot of props in constructing the obstacles, it's just easier for random corners to catch on things.
I originally created this with the idea I'd suggest it to you as a new Driven Till Destruction track, but decided it was too inconsistent in play. I've been too busy to put the finishing touches on the one I came up with after this ;) Keep up the good work
It's great, I'll get it later and have a play, love these types of maps.
Maybe an updated version will release if you have the time :) big thanks for making it.
My suggestion for future updates or a new map is fewer big fatal hits and more high-speed sections. Exceedingly rough terrain like what the endurodrome or bajarama circuits employed was way more entertaining than the other maps' signature clonk and death of a critical component.
Nah it's pretty bad. Cars die too early and the deaths are all driveshaft related or wheels falling off. Too repetitive. Not saying that as a hater, just criticism.
@@Vercur For a DTD map in a vacuum it's pretty bad, but considering it's hours first mod that still manages to implement some interesting map design it does alright.
@@pootispiker2866I agree that it's not great. I was motivated by this video to finally finish the sequel to this map, which has much more consistent hits from the terrain and produced more interesting runs in general. It's called Streets of Destruction and I just published it on the Beam workshop.
Ive missed this series so much i hope it stays awhile
'Its like a dog with worms', is one of the weirdest and strangest analogies I've ever heard.
So glad to see it’s back. One thing I would love to see is a map of the course with dots showing all the spots that vehicles were counted out. Could be an additional graphic to go with the leaderboards. Keep this series around!
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
@JowoHD how do you think a Wendover will go?
@@smallman5509 so well.
I’m really hoping driven till destruction is returning in full force I love this series and I’ve rewatched it many of times
You should call that container jump "a wheel concern"
I was going with "Shafted 2: Electric Boogaloo" or "Twister" but that's even better. 😆
The Driven Till Destruction episodes are always my favourite. Even more-so than Survive the Hunt. It's been too long!
Missed your Driven Till Destruction videos. Hope you can continue this as a new series.
This has so much promise, I'd love to see it be the new DTD track.
I do wonder how more heavy duty or off-road cars would fair
That "like a dog with worms" line had me howling with laughter.
This was the series that got me into Failrace. Really nice to see it return.
A random comment that mentioned DTD was how I discovered failrace
I've missed this series
THE SERIES THAT BROUGHT ME IN HAS RETURNED IN ALL ITS GLORIOUS DESTRUCTIVE CAPACITY. YES!
Oh awesome! We ALL love these series'. Also its my Bday (5th) in less then 24 hours so I'm counting this series as an early birthday gift. Thanky Alex!
So glad this series is back. I've missed it.
The Crash Canyon DTDs were my first FailRace videos. Hyped to see the series return.
Two suggestions for named features...
the jump through the building that was super nasty: the Tunnel Jump. Alternatively, the Twister Tunnel.
The water feature with speed bumps: Soggy Bottom. Alternatively, the Sink Bumps.
"And then we swipe across the Soggy Bottom.." 😂
We need more of the beamng content with the crew! That was fun, especially the weekend live shows
Hey Alex, love to see the series back, I wanted to suggest something. Rewatching old series like previous Driven Till Destruction, and even Downhill Chaos on GTA V, when you show the leaderboard at the end of the videos, would you be able to include what episode vehicles drove in? I think it would make it easier if people wanted to look for certain vehicles or watch certain runs and avoid searching each episode if they can't remember when it was driven.
I miss this series can't wait to see more
Thank you for bringing driven till destruction I literally just watched every single video over just to make sure I didn't miss one
It is really fun watching Alex destroy cars.
Hell yes, love this series, the new track is gnarly
I missed this driven till Destruction series it's funny seeing these cars and trucks to go through the punishment on Beam NG
I have a couple of names for that awkward jump that claimed the Moonhawk and Cherrier, "Twister" and "Shafted 2: Electric Boogaloo"
Driven to Destruction has a new map! Let's go!!!
Definitely my favourite series that you make. I really hope to see more. I’ve missed it dearly
Ooh, new map! That means new landmarks. I've got a few in mind:
0:44 The Hubcap Peelers (or Hubcap Ramps) - both the Covet and the Moonhawk's hubcap's just went flying there for some reason.
1:07 The Woodchuck - It's a lumber mill that chucks cars
1:22 Thoroughfare of Squares - A lane of big ol' square platforms and a good GTA reference.
I'm sure other spots will need some good names too, like that unfinished barn you jump into, or the speedbump before the splash area
P.S. I've never modded Beam, but I'm sure it'd be trivial for someone to make a mod that just sets your oil level to never go down (IF oil_level
Deffinitly my fav type of series so glad this is back bring us more destruction
Oh this series is so much fun! I'm glad its back
Now we have to go about naming the various jumps and corners.
I vote for naming the big jump that killed 3 cars "The Heart Attack" or maybe "The Crippler"
I forgot how much I enjoyed these!
Great map, looking forward to more.
Alex, this series has clearly reached the level of "survive the hunt", therefore it needs to be a Monthly series.
we are all excited every time this comes up. I know after years of Driven till destruction, surely it has become annoying for you or boring (maybe).
I loved your last STH. a little unlucky at the end.
BeamNG updates around every 3 months, so monthly would mean that’ll it get around 3 or 4 episodes before an update (which breaks mods and other things that might be beneficial for this series) and having only 3 vehicles per episode means that it’ll get only 9 or 12 vehicles). He’s made these DTD a weekly series for that reason
I cannot give you enough thumbs up!!! I was just thinking the other day how i missed the driven to destruction! Thank you sir an early Xmas present!!
discovered the channel during the first driven till destruction, glad to see it back
Up the Driven Till Destruction! First series I ever found on Failrace 🧡🖤
YES!! Missed this series
WOOOOOOOOOO ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR BOYS DTD IS BACK
Yeah, it's such a shame Beam doesn't have a little bit more customisation for things like oilpan settings. They introduced it a couple of years back and has rather put a downer on things. Sometimes, total realism isn't always necessarily what you want in a game.
combine with the career mode mechanics so you can at least repair the individual parts maybe? add a penalty on for each time you clear one of those common nuisance things?
8:30 Yes, Alex. In electric Cherriers, Tograc is a 4WD, but Vivace isn't.
thought for a second this would be the new map you did in the last BeamNG video.
This one looks good too.
So glad to see this again, driven‘till destruction & survive the hunt are the two series on this channel that I love the most!
I don't think I've ever seen a suspension do such a funny thing as the charriers rear.
As for the electric car braking when you let off the throttle, that is a real thing and it's called one-pedal driving in most electric cars. It brakes harder the more you take your foot off the accelerator. I use it almost exclusively in my car, though you can turn it off if the need arises.
Alex angrily rolling over the I-series folded me 😂
Can’t wait for more of this!!!!
Hell yeah, was just thinking about Beamng and I love this series
so happy to see this series back!!
I AM SO EXCITED!!!! Best CZcams Video Series EVER!!!
this seems like such a cool course for this sort of thing, its definately gonna be a bit less balanced than the last series cause its not as friendly to lower vehicles but i still hope this track becomes a full series. seeing driven till destruction return has been long overdue imo haha its just such a fun thing.
This looks like a pretty decent DTD track. Looking forward to seeing how various things go around it.
I think the electric vivace would be very competitive with the standard width rally rear subframe and a limited slip differential to keep modifications to a minimum. Now swapping the dual motor drivetrain into a full rally tograc chassis would create something quite durable.
So glad to see this back! Always so much fun!
You could tell that course was a car killer. Didi you see the ghosts of the dead cars outside some of the buildings?
Yesss!!!
Been watching since the first map this series used, been awaiting another! Hehe
Been watching since og downhill destruction, would love to see the DTD series come back
I been wanting for this for so long
Best series! (Besides the main FailRace series.) Glad to see it starting up again!
Hope this is gonna be a series
exciting too see the new cars and latest physics tested
7:00 I vote to name that jump the Driveshaft Dive
Love these challenges! More please 😁
Lets go!!! Im sick right now and i watch this series when im not doing great so im so happy to see it!
omg its been so long! love this series
6:04 I would suggest CJD preformance mods on the Repo. There is a Dry-Sump pan for all Vanilla cars. If you do desire a less chance of an oil-pan failure for lower cars.
Driven to destruction is awsome, but all the maps through the years have containd alot of big jumps wich can be entertaining. Though a track that slowly destroys the car would be way more intresting.
An indestructible/invincible oilpan mod would probably be a good investment if the DTD series were to continue more in the future, I think.
Yessss ive missed DTD
Yoooooo let's goooo ive been waiting for this series to make a comeback
Glad that driven to destruction is back but this map just doesn't have the same feeling as the old ones maybe just me
23:25 Extra roll for style. Fully intentional 😁
Great to see driven till destruction back!!! Unfortunately, in my opinion, this is not the map for it. Too much going on and no big jumps. Need more of a circuit instead of an open world.
Would love to see a race around this one!
I got my license in 1975. I have had many RWD/FWD cars and trucks. In all that time of buying junkers and abusing them terribly I've never had a drive shaft fail like BeamNG wants us to believe. In addition the obvious preference for European cars gets me as well. The quality of most car makers has greatly improved in my lifetime but to have a preference and bias to a certain type of car is kind of insulting to other car makers who produce a decent car.
For a number of years I owned a salvage yard in partnership with my 2 brothers. I would suggest for young folks along with there parents to tour a yard looking at how cars looked after a car wreck. Yes I know that there are many variables to be looked at but if I had 20 Honda Civics that while totaled showed the cars cab mostly intact and then look at 20 Kia or Hyundai cars of similar size and they had consistently showed greater damage then it would give a potential buyer something to think about.
Something else to think about is the drivetrain. A case in point, if you bought a bare bones 1991 to 1994 Ford Escort with the base engine and an automatic transmission I could expect around 75,000 miles before I would have an issue and it was almost always the trans that went bad. If you bought the same car with a manual transmission and no other changes you could expect 150,000 miles. There were so many times this happened in many carmakers it was amazing.
Sorry about the book. I could go on but I tend to speak a lot on subjects like this.
Best regards Bob from Virginia USA
Ayy it's back
9:45 fun fact, most of the electric/hybrid cars with "one pedal" driving where releasing the throttle brakes.... DON'T light the brake lamps. Who let Failrace development into the EV car industry?!
Considering it’s a new track, you did very well
Okay idea:
what if you built the most durable car you can think up and put it round one of these tracks. Beam, to my knowledge, let you modify cars quite a lot. Think best base car, maybe it is compact - less parts to fling around - and then choose all the strongest parts or the parts that you think are best suited for what you've created. Then race it round one of these circuits, possibly the classic circuit, and instead of seeing how these base cars fare, it tests them at their best?
idea, perhaps include a fastest lap stat as well as distance? may encourage a slightly higher degree of sending it.
And a slowest lap for giggles.
YESSSS!!!!! DTD!!!! OH HOW IVE MISSED THIS
It's back!!! 🎉🎉
Alex, i have driven several electric vehicles where i work and for the teslas in particular, the brake pedeal is really only there to panic stop. proper throttle control will allow them to glide safely to a stop without ever touching the brakes. it is quite an awkward feeling i will say. lol.
Ah yess the awerage experience of driving thrugh rural Norway
This course looks way too rough for the gradual damage over time DTD should have. Good to see it back though!
this map would be fun in multiplayer
With some hybrids and with full-electric cars they do indeed have a somewhat aggressive slowing without braking in real life. It's something that can definitely take getting used to.
Alex please bring these back as live stream I miss the DTD
11:45 Average Nissan 350Z camber
Now, let's see a Survive the Hunt here ;)
Gladiators are you ready.
There is a mod for indestructible vehicles.. which gives you the choice to make the engine indestructible. Which is the only option for indestructible oil pans
Are we ever gonna do the automation build time challenge series? Love the videos been catching up on the vods
tis a bit weird on that moonhawk,it killed the driveshaft by being sideways. Unexpected
Honestly I still think the Endurodrome was better for slowly whittling cars down to nothing but this track is definitely better than that high speed one you showed off a while ago.
YAY! NO OVALS FOR A FEW DAYS!!!😺
Hey, ik it's kinda out of the ordinary but how do you feel about gta 6 and would you still do survive the hunt on a fresh map?? Ik it's a rehitorical question but it comes out soon and I've always thought that a survive the hunt on gta 6 would be hella cool. Please do address this in a future video as a QandA or something. I mean this with the kindest of regards and I've always loved your videos man keep posting survive the hunts I love them
Let's see it on a stream
#BringBackDrivenTillDestruction please
