  • Check out the PrimeWeld 225x on my store at weldmongerstor...
There are also lots of options for TIG cup Kits that will let you get better results with this or any other tig welding machine.
I am already getting questions about how it stacks up against the CK mt200 ac dc tig welder.
In short, the Primeweld is a good bit less money but the CK mt200 has a lower start amperage with fan on demand along with a few other differences.
I will make a few more videos and go over some of the subtle differences but so far, the PrimeWeld has been impressive.

Great explanation Jody! Nothing makes me happier than to see you using and selling Primeweld products now! There’s gotta be a good reason you choose too which is how great of a company they are and how great of a machine especially at the price point of these machines! If your new to Tig welding and not sure what to get I highly recommend the 225x

I bought mine about a year ago and also have zero complaints. It's been a fantastic welder and has easily handled everything I have needed. I also bought one of their plasma cutters about 6 months ago. My only complaint is the shielding cups are a bit fragile, other than that it's a great plasma cutter.

I bought this welder 2 years ago to start getting into marine Fabrication. I still use it today welding 90% anodized aluminum pipe for t-tops and other boat related projects. So far, so good. I'm seriously impressed with this machine. And I got it not knowing a single thing about TIG welding. I learned from videos from you and others on CZcams, lots of prayer and lots of practice. Thanks for the videos and this review.

I bought one of these units about a year and a 1/2 ago, I absolutely love it. I use mine at home, mostly for fun, so minimum use. I do not weld for a living. I had one issue with my gas regulator, Primeweld replaced it with one email and a 5 minute phone call. No hassles, no waiting forever on the phone, no hoops to jump through, I wish more companies had customer service like this. It is really tough to beat these units at this price point, I don't think anybody does.

Their customer service is great, in fact I had a personal friend buy one and the HF start was a bit weak on his particular unit. One phone call and they had a brand new unit out to him in a couple days with absolutely zero hassle; he's loving it.

I'm a hobby/crafts welder and use a prime weld multi function unit. I started off using the switch on the torch but after watching your videos I've been trying to use the foot pedal. My biggest problem is neuropathy in my feet and have a darn hard time controlling the pedal. The 2T/4T features seem like they would help me a lot. I second the customer service at Primeweld, they set the example for others to follow.

I bought one in 2022 and I highly recommend it. Great customer service. Yesterday I used a Miller machine to weld some aluminum and I was surprised how much louder the AC welding is with the Miller, so loud it was very annoying. The PrimeWeld machine is quiet compared to that. One improvement PrimeWeld could make is to make the fans come on only when needed.

I got my machine about two years ago. When I unboxed it and went to set it up, I found the power plug in the back was broken. Two screws and a couple wire connections, easy enough to fix. Called the company and asked for a new plug, told them I'd just swap it out myself. They said sure no problem. Two days later, instead of the plug, I had a whole new machine on my porch and return label for the original. Can't really ask for better customer service from a company.

I had problems with it not ramping up so I emailed them with the symptoms. They emailed me back within 20 minutes and asked for a good call back number to reach me. They called me back 2 minutes later to tell me they were sending me another one! Said when I get it to send the other one back in the shipping box that was post prepaid!

@weldmonger Jody, this is the Best Video I’ve seen anyone do on the T225X. I used to work for a Helicopter Crop Dusting Company. When I started there they had a Syncrowave 200, for some reason we could never get this Machine running smoothly on Aluminum. I really was convinced there was something wrong with the Machine from the Factory, because I had a Syncrowave 250 Tigrunner (Ware Cooled Version) at home, so I was very familiar with setup and welding Aluminum with these a transformer Machines. My 250 was a Reliable Beast. Long story short I talked them into purchasing the Primeweld T225X to take the place of that Syncrowave 200, and Primeweld 225 performed flawlessly and the Syncrowave 200 was never turned again for anything not even mild Steel.
I can’t recommend Primeweld highly enough. In my opinion there’s not a better Welder out there for that Price Range!
It outperforms Welders that costs Thousands of dollars day in and day out. I have several Friends who have purchased them at my recommendation and a couple of them are actually making a living with these Machines.
Now with the Primeweld Tig 325’s release this is an even more viable option, especially when you add the Water Cooled option to it.
That’s gonna be my next Machine, the 325 with Water Cooler! Thanks for all that you do for our Community Jody!

And I have to agree with you too I think this is more of a commercial welder than an entry especially on the build quality of the welder. Yes there is a lot of knobs being analog you don't have any processors to go bad inside the machine. I do have to say it's awesome to see you do a review on the primeweld tig225x and also adding it to your store wood bundles. Negative be a great addition to your store get a lot of sales with the bundling of stubby lens kits. Setting start current at 225 would be the equivalent of using "hot start" say you have big part and you need to get the puddle established. Most machines I work with use a percentage of your main current for start and end. Some parts take more amperage to start but once you get it going it wants to run away on you (alum). So rather than sitting around waiting for 200 amps to make a puddle you can punch it for a second or two and then let off to your set amperage. The faster you get in and get out the less heat input blah blah blah. The only downside to hotstart is if you don't set your balance correctly you'll spit the end of the tungsten off. Pretty nifty, almost as cool as special 4t on a fronius 320i. Anyways, keep your stick on the ice.

Awesome demonstration. Can you make a video on pulse settings for this machine with the foot pedal

If i didn't already have an Everlast TIG, that looks like a good one. i sure do love welding machines with switches and dials! out of the 30+ machines at work, we have about 6 newer "smart" welders with digital menus to change the settings. I'm always disappointed when I inevitably get stuck using one. I don't need a machine to figure out how to set itself, which is counter-intuitive since the machine isn't doing the welding manipulation. I don't know who would want a crutch that thinks it knows how to walk! probably about 50% of the time i'm not in a position where a foot pedal can be used, except if i press it with my knee or hand if i'm feeling limber, so i made my own finger switch to tape on.

Great video. I have only ever used the foot pedal with my primeweld 225. But I did recently buy a "tig button" but I have yet to install it. Alot of people with this welder recommend it. It is a pressure button that basically acts like a pedal.
