Just wanted to say I'm 47 yrs old and thought fishing plastics was crazy. I'm not an avid fisherman but my 15 yr old has taken up fishing so that's how we spend some of our time together. I watched this video and went to Walmart and bought some 4" chigger crawls. My son always uses crankbaits. On about my 5th cast I caught a bass and a couple casts later caught another. My son then was changing over to the chigger and caught a bass after a couple casts. Just want to say thank you for this video. Helps guys like me that doesnt know much about the sport. Do you have a video in what rods and reels that are needed for different baits. We live in Charleston WV so there are not many bodies if water to fish. Basically the Elk River and some small ponds with a fee decent lakes near by. Again thanks.

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup czcams.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

I've used the black and red craw from zoom for three years and its caught more fish than any other lure I have. The one thing I dont think you said in the video during rigging it was to tuck the hook point back into the bait to make it 100% weed less to get on to fallen trees and grass and other thick vegetation.

Hey Noah ! Thinking about getting my first ever bait caster and I agree with you about having a 7'1 or 7'3 med-heavy rod, very versatile. I have the 13 Creed spinning combo and I love it, had a great backbone to it. It seems like all the bait casting rods from 13 fishing here at our local sporting stores have 7'1 med-heavy rods but the back bone is thin. Does that matter a whole lot if you're using it for everyday versitle fishing?
