I grew up playing SVR 06 - 08 GM mode for hunderds of hours. I'd never thought I'd see the day where Cena and HHH listed as legends.

@@StaliasFable sometimes I would try to get the computer to pick legends like the Bret, hogan, stone cold, on raw and I would be smackdown choosing the 2007 roster and it would be legends vs ruthless aggression
I dont think this game has him as a legend but in the Draft sometimes they remove random people and put them in the free agency usually some big names are always left out of the draft like Cena,Edge and Orton. which makes them now show up in the draft. The Legends Roster never shows up in the draft but you can draft legends and free agents after you draft your roster.
They should atleast add midcard titles to gm mode in the patches
That would be very nice, and the possibility of triple threat matches, but i think thats going to far 😂

Yeah GM mode is very lazily done it's such a disappointment if you're buying the game for this mode don't do it for any other reason fill your boots

They’ve done it intentionally so in the next game they can add mid card titles, more match types etc to make it look like progress.

Honestly this looks fun but it could have been great with the simple adding of mid cards title and tag belts , also more match types
Its insanely annoying, because you cannot make a big card and you are essentially supposed to draft a super tiny roster and have the same matches over and over again. Also since they added a dumb class system if you dont match up the right clases you get a boring match. Specially if you book the same classes against each other. Let alone than on top of that there is a face and heel modifier which makes your selection of who gets to wrestle who even smaller.
Makes sense why there is no tag team titles you are pretty much forced to run the same show over and over with like 6 to 8 wrestlers and third of that has to be women that cant interact with the men.
I don’t know why they didn’t use 2006 Gm mode as a basis and then just add things to that. They need an update already, you should be able to book 5 matches, have a mid card title and tag titles.

wouldve been better had they combined universe mode with story designer when it was last on a game(wwe2k14).
It took me one year to watch universe mode, 2k14,15, 16, until to this day, hope you continue with the universe mode, keep it up
Mid card titles, more match availability slots, more match types, Triple threat, last man standing etc but a good start
I think I would have liked it more if they would have added some of this stuff to Universe Mode.

YEAH! the Brenden who inspired me to buy a ps3 just for wwe 2k14 is back!
TEW 2020 with mods on PC is the real GM mode you want. Incredibly in depth and you can decide the outcomes or leave to your road managers. Its not just limited to WWE either, with AEW, NJPW, ROH, Impact etc. Course there's no matches to watch but you get ratings based on each segment of your show adding up to a final score. Its like comparing Football Manager and FIFA manager mode.

Having a heavy ass AA song in this game makes me more excited to play
So the only thing i didnt like was the lack of champions when you start the show. Hopefully as the show grows we can have a tag division and minor champs available or im heading back to universe.

The draft pool doesn't have everyone in it. They could show up as free agents later.

The draft pool is randomly chosen from available Superstars.
As you play MyGM, the unavailable Superstars slowly get put into the Free Agency.
It looks like they made the mode in an afternoon at the end of development

They have tag belts! You just gotta do a tag match and you can turn title match on.

Just curious are the local wrestlers we are seeing in the gm mode are also part of the game roster?
This might be a weird opinion but I honestly wouldn’t mind haven’t some made up people in the game roster to play as. Similar to Cole Quinn and Ribbie.
Sadly they seem to be tied to the MyGM game mode at the moment.

@@lightningsam people have made a lot the myrise characters playable like paragon and hector. You gotta download them from community creations though.
Ok the custom roster is awesome, i want to recreate the ruthless aggresion era in my gm with caws and the legend or maybe do a aew vs wwe I'm so happy to see the custom roster is good maybe the next year we have custom shows too
The AI drafting is odd but also makes sense. CLR meshed well with Bianca and was a cheap option

Isn't really there a workaround for this?
Like, can you change the (equal) amount of initial money the two main rosters have, for example?
Because seeing how there are so many options, but you are forced to pick very little... kinda makes me feel like the whole GM mode is quite a missed opportunity.
It is. This mode is awful to play.

Seeing how small the cards are it doesn’t make sense to have a big roster. 8-10 tops.
I'm sure it would've been limited either way. 2K is just lazy. How does a 15 year old game like SVR 2006 have a more fleshed out roster than a game that powerful and more advance? I'm not accepting excuses.

Also, while the core of the idea is the same, it doesn't feel like the SvR GM mode because of some major fundamental differences.

Having three matches on normal shows makes no sense and have mid card titles. I was so excited for this mode from svr and I feel like if I want that experience I will just have to turn on the old games because I don’t think they will ever make it like the past games
Think I'll skip this year. Once all match types and titles are included in GM Mode I'll reconsider. Once they add full customization to your brand and titles I'll be ALL IN.

I put superstars on active local and still I didn’t get any stars to draft cept for certain superstars lol
You have a lot of good guy on your roster. It’ll be hard to get good match ratings with good vs good unless you build up their rivalry
Yeah, you'll generally get better ratings if you do Face vs Heel rather than Face vs Face or Heel vs Heel, and you will even be given hints about that through "fan" comments like "I didn't even know who to Boo." or "I didn't know who I was supposed to Cheer for." You also want to make sure the wrestlers classes make for a good "match" (Cruiser vs Giant for instance). And then occasionally toss in a special match type & title shots here or there (though PPVs are the best places for special match types & title matches). You also want your two best matches to be your show Opener & your Main Event, that will also benefit you in the long run, if your mid-card matches end up outperforming your Opener and/or Main Event, you are likely to upset some of your fans due to "poor pacing" for the show.
It is an option to turn anyone heel or face through the promos

The cpu choose wrestlers based on types going well together.
It's funny, Brick Lestalent in your game is a face where in mine he shows up as a heel. As for the AI drafting, it says if you set them to easy they will draft bad but it looks like no matter what level you set them as, they will always draft "confused".
I’m playing on hard rn and the AI drafted a bunch of unpopular wrestlers but looking at their booking it actually makes sense.
MyGM is basic but fun. My main issue is that it is way too easy. I beat Hard mode by 250k fans with ZERO injuries.

Interesting draft. But I personally don't see why I should play this GM mode when I can play TEW2020 which is superior in every facet of the game when it comes to booking.
