I'm planning on making a new startups video for all PlayStations. I forgot to add certain startups like the PSX startup and the PS1 fat menu (the one included in the video is from the slim) But before I make a video, I would ask if any of you are reading this description, if you have the following lying around, could you please make a video out of the startups?

That PS1 sound makes me wanna cry with nostalgia. Had one when I was 14. My parents couldn't afford to buy us video games so in the later years, my big bro saved up money and bought one for me. It almost made me cry, was so emotional.

@@edrickcotto9510 PS1 and PS2 were my childhood. I was always a Playstation Kid. Never owned an Xbox (Still don't). The PS1 noise takes me back to when I used to play Crash and Spyro after school in outside school care. Good times. The only sad thing was I only got 15 minutes at a time if other kids wanted to play.
I creeped out the 1st time I heard it usually I play ps1 before I sleep so there were no lights at all.
The PS1 intro is still epic and has aged very well.

I now understand why the PS2 startup used to creep me out as a kid. Sitting in a dark room, it suddenly becomes really loud and then really eerily quiet which definitely sets those undertones.

Being a 90's kid, PS1 is easily the best, most nostalgic startup sound. Gives me chills hearing it to this day and I'm 34 now. I remember waking the whole house up playing at night through my dads stereo. Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Spyro, etc. God, those were good times and the PS2 was such a leap in graphics. I remember getting one when they were still difficult to find and booting up Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. The graphics blew my f-ing mind. PS gamer for life!

Playing a Ps1 game in Ps2 and hearing both sounds just unlocked my childhood again. You never realize how valuable a moment is until it’s many years gone.
Pure nostalgia, this is man. No one can ever compare the feelings you get from hearing that PS1 Intro, and rememebring your childhood, and the goodtimes. Still glad I still have and play on my PS1, and PS2 till this day. Nothing will ever be like this.

Ps1 sound is amazing! Captures that retro vibe so well! Didn’t play much Ps1 but I still loved it.
Ps2 used to scare the crap out of me as a child, I used to cover my eyes when I was 5 years old, also playing in a pitch black basement didn’t help either.

I remember as a kid, staying up late after my parents went to bed and trying to sneakily play some PS1 and not knowing how loud the TV was then waking up the entire neighborhood with that sound.

TheChaoticWolf Wow I've had my Playstation 2 for 17 years. Its kind of funny, I remember when everybody acted like the playstation 2 was golden and everybody wanted one until everyone got lost in Xbox and Nintendo.
It's bday was March of '00 and the final game released was Nov of '13. It had a glorious life lasting about 1/3 of my life. So many great memories. Maybe that's why I still have it pluged into my entertainment system next to my ps4 :)

Such good times. Glad that I still got my PS1 and PS2, and that I still play it to this day. Two of the best consoles of all time and the only two consoles that I own other than the GameCube that I also have. Pure nostalgia right here and straight up my childhood right here. Such good times.

PS1 will forever be my favorite startup due to the Nostalgia and memories I've had on that console, plus it just sounds awesome like the (THX) sound, I also always liked how the PS logo chime sound continues over the Sony entertainment sound, you always knew your disk was working.

@@poli3601 Sometimes that's the sign that the disk isn't being read correctly. It's scary because it may be too damaged to play. From the PS3 onward, disks were switched to Blu-Ray, due to their high resistance to scratches and greater memory.

The most nostalgic sounds from me are the openings for the PS1 and the PS2
That being said I grew up with all of these systems and it brings a tear to my eye because it's like reliving my past memories as a child remembering all the good moments I had with my family with these systems, mind you I was very young back then and I'm going to be 25 this year so that kind of puts in to context on how good my memory is of these systems

wow my first console was the PSP. I spent so many hours on it, and truly enjoyed it. the startup thing really brought so many flashbacks
Every time new PS was out, during first few startups me and my cousin would come with a theory how much more technologically advanced the new PS is compared to the previous version and how we’re actually being taken into another dimension. The initial graphics of PS2 was like travelling through different dimensions. Great times hahaha

The PlayStation 2 will always be a legendary console to me. The startup sound will never leave me, and it’s so cool seeing all of those blocks of data grow with every play session of my games! When there isn’t a disc inserted, you are pleasantly greeted with the blissful sounds of waves crashing into each other, as you see the floating blue orbs just dancing around in space. It’s also really nice to see different icons for games that can be really unique and have some love put into them! My favourites of these icons have to be for both Half-Life and Godzilla Save the Earth. People tend to find the “red screen of death” scary (super dramatic name I know), however I tend to see it as really annoying/irritating to see that my game hasn’t worked >:( I still play the PlayStation 2 often and enjoy playing games such as: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2 Band of Thieves, Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves, Godzilla Save the Earth, Half-Life, Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas, etc.
Grew up with PS1 but i really started to get into gaming with the PSP, the startup almost made me cry with nostalgia

Everyone is talking about PS1 and PS2 startups, but no one is talking about how chill and relaxing the PS4 one is.
When it comes to epic PlayStation intros, nothing will ever come close to the first one. When you heard that opening theme, you knew straight away, you were in for something really special. 26 years later, I still get chills everytime I see the white screen and the orange Sony logo appear followed by the PS1 symbol. Great memories

@@tysonthewolfe93 yeah but not dead. first of all, a lot of people have ps4s, and ps5 isn't even _released_ yet. how is the ps4 dead? a lot of people still play on the ps4, because they _can't_ even play on the ps5, and the ps5 will be backwards compatible with ps4, which means they still can have a ps4 and get ps4 games for the ps5 and don't have to sell their ps4. (im not saying everyone will keep their ps4, just saying that they CAN keep it.)
