I love the GT650 and might get it soon still looking but there is no comparison with the Benelli sound.

The good thing about the staccato sound of the twins is that they sound good even while you are maintaining one constant speed, regardless of the rpm.
Inline 4s sound annoying when held at a constant rpm, and they push you to keep varying your speed to get a break from the monotonous sound.
So twins and singles are better suited to touring and safe riding
