I'll stay with my internal combustion.
Will you also stay with your ICE car when the gasoline and diesel cost $10+ per gallon because of taxes and eliminated subsidies?
@@hanshansen3885 I don’t live in California. 😂😂
Right now I’m paying $3.25.
@hanshansen3885 When is that going to happen? Tell us, oh great and powerful Swami! Use your powers of prognostication and amaze us all! 🤣😂🤣

Remember back when the main reason cars existed was to transport people from point a to point b?
No touchscreens; internet connectivity; satellite tracking, etc.
I drive a 20yr old car with a manual transmission-actually a great anti-theft system in itself.
If I leave my smartphone at home-nobody, not even my insurance company, knows where I am-or how I’m driving. LOL
no smart tv either
So true I still have my 98 honda civic in perfect condition and no one can track me. Had long my honda can take me point a to b and just maintain it I should be great to go anywhere.
Wish I had one
@gsleatherworks2442, yep still have a 20 yr old Impala on the road, bought it new and paid off in less than 6 yrs totaling less than $22K. The only thing the shop fixed was the instrument cluster, beyond that as the "non-mechanic" I replaced left/right engine mounts, valve cover gaskets, starter motor and replaced over time brakes, engine/trans oil/fluids and filters and coolant, some hoses. Still haven't touched engine nor transmission internals, it has ~250K miles on it now and runs almost like it did the day I bought it.
Janet Yellen has been wrong about everything in her entire career, but yet she is still seen as an expert 😂.

Lol. Back tracking. The government should stay out of our cars and our lives. No more socialism !!!!
This is why I drive a 20 year old truck!
Me too. 2003 Ford Ranger. It’s never let me down.
I have DOOR DASH monitoring me and I get a daily report. I can tell you with food on my seat I drive very carefully and their reports are 100% COMPLETLY WRONG
Its ALL FAKE
They will JACK your rates
its YOUR FAULT
@@rogerwatson2255 , lol I'm thinking you have to work hard at destroying those old Rangers! My bro has a 95 Ranger! Still cranks and drives with over 400,000 miles on it! It was once used by a mechanic to transport engine parts, wheels/tires etc., so it had some dings/dents etc., but he got the truck for $0! He replaced the timing belt and clutch/flywheel and drove the truck for the next 10 yrs and put 150K+ miles on it, used it for his own engine/transmission parts, lumber transport etc. I can't believe that little 4 cylinder engine and transmission still carries on. Yet many Ford products today like other manufacturers "VTEC/VVT/CAM PHASERS" with "direct injection and turbos" etc., all seem to be breaking down prematurely costing consumers tons of $$$ in repairs after paying "$30K-$60K" for these things....
That's called pumping brakes not breaks
The English language is in freefall. We have already lost the word "fewer" to less. The world has become flat because they say "across the world" instead of around.

You're insane Yellen,
An hour to charge, cant use AC/ heater, kills battery, looking for a station out of my way, doesn't work in cold weather, where do I sign up for this mess....
Self-charging Hybrids are the only kind of EV that make sense.
They make sense ... right up until the battery goes into thermal runaway and your car incinerates itself.
@@michaelpfister1283 We had three Prius over a 10 year period. We only traded them in for reasons unrelated to the hybrid technology. The Toyota design is rock solid and was leased by other hybrid manufacturers.

“I regret saying that EV’s were the future”
Janet Yellen
I own a pure EV and an older hybrid. The hybrid is the only model that makes sense. Pure EVs don’t work well in bitterly cold climates. It’s just physics.
EV and Janet Yellen and FU Government.
Canada will do the right thing with Trudeau! I have zero faith in our justice system to do the right things!
EVs shouldn’t be supported by subsidies. They should be free market based at this time.
@user-cb3ti8qt1w, they should also be BANNED from utilizing ANY source for charging (public or private) which receives power from ANY fossil fuel power generating facility, otherwise it's defeating the very purpose for which those vehicles are claimed to "become mainstream!!" It's as hypocritical as leftists pushing others of their ethnicity to "give up their racial privilege!!" whilst refusing to give up their own self-proclaimed "racial privilege!!" We haven't seen JoBama send his "ICE" classic Vette to the car crusher yet, have we?! Of course not but he's pushing the "A-EV & anti-fossil fuel" craze.
This is absolutely no different than what your phone has been doing all along.
All fuel. No computer.
No gps. Mechanical only
yellins 160 year old brain is mush
Can we just admit that they are a bad idea and go back to making regular cars?
Why didn’t they ask if Yellen owns an EV ?
@foxlake6750, c'mon man! That'd be like asking hypocrite Joe who's been pushing the "A-EV/anti-fossil fuel" craze, "Why haven't you sent your "ICE" Classic Vette to the car crusher Joe?!"
Insurance is the problem. Personal responsibility is the solution.
@nonyerbidness475, yes it's why this is BS just as it was yrs ago when insurers started pushing the garbage, "Here, install this device in your vehicle and we can monitor how safe of a driver you are so we can offer you discounted rates!!" No, actually how about offering drivers a discount when, "THEY'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR 30 YEARS AND NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT OR TRAFFIC CITATION!!" the greedy, lying #$@&.... It's further BS when these same insurers claim "A person's credit score is actually relevant when considering their likelihood of having an accident because data has proven that people with certain credit scores have more accidents...." So someone who lost their job or business in an economic downturn and suffered losses and a downgrading of their credit score translates into, "You're definitely going to have a vehicle accident soon so we'll need to raise your insurance rates!"😂🤨
Such lying, scheming 💩I also couldn't believe that those of us with excellent driving records will still pay higher rates because doing so "...allows others who couldn't ordinarily obtain insurance because they're high risk, to be able to obtain coverage." WTH?! SOCIALIST CAR INSURANCE?! As you said "personal responsibility!" If those people can't afford insurance because they have "7 at-fault accidents annually!" MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO OBTAIN COVERAGE. Un-freaking believable. I remember briefly meeting a woman who said she had 7 accidents the prior year and therefore had sky-high insurance. I thought how do you have it all and yet now she was going to be "driving her car for work." She couldn't even find her way home without GPS she said, she can never get anywhere without it. Unbelievable the kinds of people on the roads.
Stop EVs now!!
Insurance rates are going up for two reasons: hyperinflation of vehicle prices, and EVs.
Evs are a scam!
How? They work perfectly fine everywhere else.
@hanshansen3885 You have a jacked-up definition of “perfectly fine”.
@@vincedibona4687 Okay, you want to equate "perfectly fine" to "100% fine".
EVs compared to ICE(regular) vehicles are cleaner, cheaper and better.

Just like your phone, your new car isn't really your's.
Like houses too fully payed but still pay property taxes or they take the house
I wonder what type of cars the leaders use in Ottawa I dont see Justin coming to work with an ev at minus 40
You are being monitored
@amarreder6241 So are you.
Yellen does not seem to live in the real world..
More subsidies means taking money from me and others who will never own a EV. I've just retired and have never owned a new vehicle.
Love my ‘07 Outback! Just gonna keep fixing it and drive it forever. There’s nothing about “new” cars that makes me want to buy one at all🙄
Do you honestly think if you drive good your insurance company will give you a break wake up and smell the coffee no chance that will happen
Subsidies for cars actually makes them more expensive by propping up prices. It’s the same for college. Get rid of subsidies and the prices will fall.
Looks like a major news outlet would know the difference between brakes and breaks
Symptomatic of a general decline in education, knowledge, and ability to write.
If your job duties include posting video clips to CZcams, your office definitely doesn't have a window.
You’d think a sitting President wouldn’t have to read the name of a recently murdered citizen and _still_ get it wrong.
Journalists who can spell, what a novel concept. 😊
'breaks'... Gotta love our literacy rate...
not the first misspelling I see on the titles.
We need more power plants before we even talked about more charging stations.
If these are a good idea why does the government need to pay for infrastructure? Shouldn't companies be fighting over putting that in. Why should we the taxpayers have to bribe people to buy something?
@shembop, because we know it's all political BS and net contributing taxpayers pay for NOTHING else like we pay for "political BS" which is orchestrated by corrupt politicians.
Insurance companies offering a deal...HA unlikley. We live in an economy that maximizoning the bottom line is what it's all about.
I get the biggest kick out of driving down the road when its pouring rain and seeing climate lunatics charging their cars at target...lolz
What happened to basic cars with no electronics gadgets, that are affordable?
Tesla owners and amazon supporters annoy the hell out of me
They said tesla was the #1 sold car last year. Turns out , they were sold to car dealerships , not drivers. Those cars are now rotting on lots
Can't trust all these science and tech people. Amazon, tesla etc. They try too hard to change the beauty of God's world. Let God play God and bring the world back to its natural beauty
Dear Janet Yellen,
Not everyone wants one, no matter how much subsidies or charges you throw at us.
Sincerely,
The Silent Majority
I don't see any kind of cars selling now
I've always wondered about technology that could detect how we drive and base our insurance cost on that. One thing I'm sure we all see is people who drive absolutely insane by constantly switching lanes to get ahead, heck even some of these drivers pass on the shoulder. Then we see more and more cars with no plates or means of identification. It's insane out there.
Pumping *Brakes*...
Who are they paying to title their videos?
@shembop They did this one with the iPhone’s crappy voice-to-text feature. 🤣
@@vincedibona4687 Well, they got me to watch the whole video before commenting to see if it was a play on words rather than bad English. Maybe that was the goal.

"Pumping Breaks"??
Hellen CONTINUES to be completely delusional.
No federal bailout for auto makers, they wanted EV's, let them take the lost for their stupidity.
The government forced them.
They didn't want EVs, the government mandated them.
She has stock in lithium probably
They may raise the price first then give you discount on the driving data. They lose nothing but get free personal data.
They will never reduce insurence costs. Regardless.
That's why they cost so much I'm not paying for this
Remember people you all said you have nothing to hide from big brother. Still think that now???
Maybe the phones start taking pictures when people are texting and driving. Since they already do it already.
since when has an insurance company done somthing to REDUCE your rates?
Yelling does not inspire confidence in her knowing what she is talking about.
I'll just keep grabbing my 85 Silverado
Hybrids cost too much to maintain parts are too expensive my alternator is $800 the 2nd battery is 400 used we don’t want your expensive junk
2 maintenance parts and your crying. Your better off walking but you might cry about replacing your shoes and wearing deodorant
Wrong! A Toyota Camry hybrid alternator is $349.81 from Toyota. Toyota hybrid 12V battery is $249.00
Brakes, not breaks.
Is a class action lawsuit in order? These practices need to be reigned in and those that use them need to be held accountable.
BS insurance don't care if you drive good they still hike the price
She's an expert in NOTHING!
THey have a limited base. THere is only so many people that are going to buy this for the cost and inconvenience. Once you hit that number it only goes down.
Pumping brakes, not breaks. Come on Fox!!
build the HYDORGEN vehicles already!!!
Love how the insurance agency’s pass the coasts onto us instead of taking the hits. Not the fault of the customers that pay premium rates. Insurance rates need to drop. The coast is already reducules
Not sure if you know how a business works. The company is not there to lose money like how our government runs. I do agree that if they would crack down on the ones that are doing the auto theft this would make a huge difference.
Brakes not breaks
Ask why you can't use insurance from California to insure a car in IL
Any data they are allowed to collect will eventually get used against you. First to discriminate with insurance rates. Then automated fines for speeding.
It will be like having a cop in the car 24/7 watching every move... punishing every mistake.
If you think that sounds paranoid... go see what they've done with speed cameras in the UK. Every inch of road is covered. You can lose your license without seeing another human.
Not tracking my 15 year old Subie 😂
every time Janet yellen speaks i cant believe she has a job
Why? Apparently under this current administration, the more incompetent you are, the better your chances of of getting hired.
I work for tier one supplier, EV stop when subsided payments stop
Hybrids still have those explodathon batteries and now 1984 you in your car seat?????the sky is green 2+2=5
If you can read my bumper sticker you’re too close. Gov’t interference in auto making has been a boondoggle since the demise of the Corvair.
Preston Tucker would disagree, saying it was earlier than that. 😉
What’s ridiculous is that the st is the performance variant, yet they made 0 performance improvements. No option for big brake kits, no larger intercooler, no oem air oil separator/catch can, no gauges for oil temps, boost, trans temps etc.
BRAKES not breaks Didn't anyone pay attention in school?
How do they know the DRIVER of the car is the one paying the insurance?
Honestly your car insurance does it regardless when they tell you that you gotta enroll in there drive easy Greco for example
Yep.
Yall know why insurance is going up right?!! Ask yourself who is not required to have insurance and who wont be held accountable if they get caught with out it.
As a former auto IT professional they have been spying on owners for years and it has continued to get worse thinking they can make more money spying on cars you own without any consent...or control by the car owners...
I’ll stick with my 2002 Ford SVT Lightning.
Internal Combustion for me 💥
Haaaaaa! No! Insurance companies won’t offer a discount based on that data. They NEVER offer a genuine discount.

Hybrids would be acceptable as long as the batteries were reasonable to replace.

I have a 23 Buick. With OnStar. And a Motorola GPower 22 that Loses Wifi and GPS Connections. Even with the WiFi in the car. Last night while driving the Android Auto went Nuts. The Map Refresh couldn't keep up. Then when it finally stocked doing the Wave, It had me on the other side of town.
Hybrids makes sense; far more sense than EVs, especially in rural areas.
Breaks or Brakes?
We need infrastructure.!!!!!
Someone should make a car that has 675 miles of range and “recharges” in 4 minutes.
Oh that’s right, it’s called a Toyota Camry hybrid .
Not surprised.
NO tattletale cars for me, I'm sticking with my 1998!

Don't you mean "pumping BRAKES"
Our Prius LE AWD is a great car! Love watching the MPG climb to 58.3 MPG.
Just bought my wife a new Lexus NX hybrid as well and love it. In fact I am waiting for the new gen Lexus ES hybrid to replace my ES V6. It will save 50% on fuel cost at least.
"The future for EVs is extremely bright". "This inflation is transitory" Ranks right up there with "the check's in the mail".
Janet Yellen has no clue about cars (and less about economics).
