You have done a fantastic job on your weight loss and exercise journey. I am 72 and Otis and I walk 3 miles a day weather permitting six days a week. I do upper body weights three times a week, and I just started doing leg lifts every day it’s important to stay in shape, especially as you get older, thanks for the encouragement and keep up the great work! Have a blessed weekend me and Otis Massachusetts❀

@@kimberlyshipp7407 I am not saying it’s easy and some days I just don’t want to do it 😒honestly, but the consequences is bone loss and more susceptible to falls. I always love walking ❀my late husband and I walked everywhere and worked out. I continue to do so after he passed in 2014. Thank you so much for your sweet comment. Have a blessed day.

Thank you for showing us what it looks like from the very beginning....developing your own work outs, gaining equipment, portion sizes, etc. Being around the same height/weight has helped make me feel like the results are possible. I've had a hard time relating to someone who is already a fitness pro, rather than watching the true reality of starting at the very beginning of a fitness journey. I appreciate you.đŸ–€đŸ’Ș

Congratulations on your fitness journey, it has inspire me to continue with my own journey. I had lost all of my desire to continue because I hit a plateau. I feel that after you pass the 200lbs mark, it is extremely hard to loose wait. I was so frustrated because I felt like I wasn’t loosing and I couldn’t see any changes. But a coach told me to add a little Hitt to my routine. So I added 5-10 min of hitt at the end on my work out and that has really help me see the difference

Hi Karrie, you have been such a huge inspiration to me on my own weightloss journey. I started my healthy eating plan at the exact same time as you !! To date I have already lost 13kgs and have another 6-8kgs to go to reach my goal weight of between 52-55kgs 🎉 My single biggest challenge is that due to stress, I am not exercising ...well I am quite ‘active’ during the day and we do enjoy long walks most evenings here in South Africa 🇿🇩 but I need to start resistance training to maintain muscle strength đŸ’ȘI think you just may have convinced me to get started 😊PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT EXERCISE APP YOU ARE USING ?? 🙏 YOU ROCK ❀❀

Just a random middle of the night thought. I don't eat meat or fish (not vegan just don't like it) so I get my protein from cottage cheese, other cheese and milk. I do like the plant based milk in my coffee but cow milk is actually sweeter naturally,IMO, and it contains more protein per serving than nut milks. I personally make an iced coffee in a shaker bottle and I toss in about a half cup of milk (skim still has plenty of protein but less calories) and I put a scoop of my favorite French vanilla protein powder. So, I start my day off everyday with like 30 grams of protein not including what's in the milk. I've been considering switching to the premier protein and doing like (can't recall her name at the moment) another CZcamsr did and do like a double shot of espresso and then a full thing of Premier protein in the cup, no creamer or milk required! If you can handle cheese or get lactose free cheese, it's definitely an awesome source of protein and even just slicing a piece to go with your nuts or Slim Jim would add to your protein. If you're not using my fitness pal I totally recommend the free version. You can scan the food labels or search them up, put your approximate portion size (I don't measure so I try to guess on the slightly higher end) and then you can see your protein carbs and fat and get a feel for what's higher in things you may need or in things you thought were good and aren't! Personally, I think intuitive eating is best and that what you're craving is likely containing something your body needs. Example chips, your body may be needing salt or potassium or other nutrients that a potato has and instead of going for the chips first you can make a potato or have something with salt and see if that helps! I just like to track BC I have IBS and get sick lots and it helps me to look back!

Yes the water!! I’m the same way, I overeat but water helps so much. I do my coffee the same way too đŸ˜†đŸ™ŒđŸ» the protein in it gets me through the afternoon car line slump

You’re doing great! If you want to gain muscle the rule of thumb is 1 gram of protein per pound of weight so you should aim for 130 grams a day. Even if you have to supplement with a few protein shakes a day it will work. Don’t be afraid of protein shakes (not that it seems you are lol)

Thank you for posting this and I’m super excited and happy for you girl! I am 6 months postpartum with baby #3, but I was on a fitness journey prior to finding out I was pregnant. I’m slowly but surely getting back in to a routine and real, relatable videos like this inspire me and remind me why I started that journey. So far I’m down 30lbs all together, with at least another 40 to go. I found though that instead of going for a number, I go for a feeling. I also have found that while I could do a crash diet or go keto, or whatever else, I know I won’t stay on that forever. Instead I just opt for a well balanced diet and just being more mindful of what I put into my body and how much of it. That works best for me. I also do full body workouts daily on top of cardio. Once upon a time I did the leg day, arm day, etc., and while yes it worked, it was also not maintainable long term for my life. I just started following some workouts from this one CZcamsr growwithjo and I love them. She has something for every one and all styles. She is also extremely relatable. Her workouts are fun and I can find something to match any time or workout need I have that day. I can’t wait to see the next year of your fitness journey! đŸ„°đŸ˜˜đŸ‘đŸŒđŸ‘ŠđŸŒ

Any chance you would share the model treadmill you have? I know it’s not available online anymore but I want to keep an eye on Marketplace.

You look great ! Something’s I eat for my protein are ground turkey with taco seasoning it’s lower in saturated fat than ground beef ! Zero sugar yogurts (chobani) vanilla flavor 1 cup is like 13 grams .. I mix my protein powder (ghost chips ahoy 1 cup= 25g) with my yogurt and it totals about 35 grams of protein too it feels like a bad snack lol bits it’s healthy !

Wait, you guys have another bedroom? Lol i thought it was a 3 bedroom house lol. This is a cute idea if you have extra space, id rather workout at home vs at a gym and have to wait for equipment
